I’m 50 years old and this makes me look like a badass! All jokes aside, I like the fit and look of this helmet. I just wish you don’t have to take the light off to charge it because if you read the other reviews it does have flimsy attachment arms and putting it on and taking it off is going to compromise it.

It’s a great helmet. I’ve used it several times now and it is quite comfortable; even for extended periods of time.
However, the description indicated that the helmet had a red safety light on the back. The helmet I received did not have such a light; either on the helmet nor in the packaging.
Also, it would be nice if some kind of a face shield was available.
Still, I’m keeping it.
UPDATE: It has been two months now since I left my initial review, and the sell has not reached out to me about the missing rear light that was supposed to be included.

This helmet is certified for higher speeds, and is built with MIPS torsion protection. It also comes with a usb rechargeable multi phase rear light. I especially liked that the head strap is easily adjustable. I have a large size head and the adjustable headband made the helmet sit securely in place and is quite comfortable.

I love my new e bike helmet. It is easy to adjust and fits securely. The light is a an added bonus for visibility while sharing the road with automobiles.

I love this helmet overall; I feel safe using it on my e-bike. It’s the best-fitting helmet I’ve ever had due to the adjustability. The safety features are impressive. I like that the light it comes with is rechargeable. The only reasons it doesn’t get 5 stars from me are the following:
1. The ventilation is minimal, which is great if you’re riding in rain (I won’t be if I can help it), but the slits are very narrow and they are screened in by interior components. This leads not only to poor ventilation, but also eliminates the ability to run a cable through a vent to lock your helmet to your bike; and
2. the light is kind of anemic – it’s got a pretty weak light, and it also seems like it would be easy to break off one of the two prongs that hold the thing onto the helmet, which would render it useless. I ended up getting a cheap stick on rechargeable light that turns out to be at least twice as bright, and so will be a lot more noticeable.
But overall, this helmet is great, I love the bright color, and for my usual daytime rides, I’m really happy with it. I recommend this helmet.

Just as you would expect. This is a top of the line in quality and construction. Using their size guide, it’s a perfect snug fit. Very light and comfortable. Cool on the head with nice ventilation. Love the easy snap chin strap. Definitely worth every penny. Highly recommend for the serious riding.

My wife and I each have a Smith Dispatch E-bike helmet that we really like. They are comfortable, light and have a good selection of colors and sizes to choose from.
These are very well constructed helmets that are E-bike rated to NTA-8776 and MIPS equipped which make them a perfect choice for E-bike riders. The integrated rechargeable light is great for increased visibility while riding.
I would definitely purchase the Dispatch helmet again and recommend it for other E-bike riders to consider when looking for helmets.

The helmet has the highest safety standards, and I am riding an e-scooter at 20 mph, so I wanted a properly safe helmet for that speed. I did not expect it to be so lightweight and comfortable. It is very easy to carry and feels like wearing nothing. Also the coverage over the head is way better than the skateboard style helmet I was using. I will 100% be buying a Smith helmet again next time. I would check the list price, though, since it looks like sometimes Amazon vendors will add a premium over list, and sometimes has fake sales that are just the regular price…

Ultimately, this is a very nice helmet.
It has a little less padding than my old helmet, which is why I dropped it down to 4 stars. But overall, I’m happy with my purchase.

I’m sure the helmet is fine, as is the quality of all SMITH products. The problem was the red light was missing and I was only given the option to return it rather than having the missing light sent to me.

I was happy to find this helmet since I’ve been looking for one that has both MIPS and is NTA 8776 certified. I liked the color and was overall pleased with the fit, adjustability, and fidlock strap buckle but ended up returning it because it was missing the light that was supposed to be included. I have seen other reviews that also state the rear light was missing so this seems to be a consistent issue. Also, it does not appear to be included in the Virginia Tech helmet ratings so I’d like to try to find something that is included in those ratings.

Great helmet. Fit and adjustment is top-notch. The aesthetic is better than most I’ve seen. My son said that there is good airflow and that he doesn’t get sweaty. The shape and form seems to provide ample protection. It fits in a lockable saddle bag that we bought with the helmet, which is good for security. I’m very happy with the purchase.

I’ve been a loyal SMITH customer for years and own several of their products, including helmets, goggles, sunglasses, clothing, and accessories. Unfortunately, this helmet was a huge disappointment.
The overall construction feels cheap, especially compared to the quality I’ve come to expect from SMITH. It doesn’t feel like a premium product.
What disappointed me the most was the integrated light. I purchased two of these helmets, and the lights on both stopped working within just three months. Having the exact same issue with two separate helmets raises serious concerns about the product’s durability and reliability.
I really wanted to like this helmet, given my positive experiences with the brand, but I can’t recommend it. For the price and SMITH’s reputation, I expected much better quality.
