I bought one of these in October. I had one last year my daughter in law bought me, and I loved it. I wore it every day! It was the best quality, and I was extremely pleased. When it died at the end of the season, I wasn’t surprised, as I gave it a full workout. However, the one I got in October didn’t last 40 days, and I am extremely disappointed. I don’t think I can recommend this brand now. The quality is not the same. I’m so sad. I thought this was the best of the best until this happened.

I received this for Christmas, and have used it several times for playing golf in the early morning in Florida in January. Very nice fleece material (soft and not noisy!). The heating elements work so well that I had to turn the heat down each morning. The location of the midsection heating elements actually make the pockets work like hand warmers!! A friend who has another brand looked at mine with jealousy in her eyes!! :-)

This is probably one of my best purchases I’ve ever made! From somebody that is always freezing cold and absolutely miserable. This black Friday purchase for myself has been absolute heaven! The battery lasts about six hours on high for me and it’s so warm and cozy. The best part is all the lining in the vest heats the pockets up so nicely so you can also feel like your hands are being warmed when you put them in your pockets!!

Purchased this as a Christmas gift for my DIL who works in a hospital and is always cold. She loves it! She said it keeps her very warm and fits well. You can see from the photo that it isn’t bulky – I was actually surprised at how thin it is. It could be worn under or over scrubs.
I did a lot of research before purchasing, and ORORO came in with top marks for quality, functionality, and warmth. The logo lights up red so you know when it’s on. The battery pack is small and tucks into a pouch.
This was a great buy and it made my DIL very happy!

I have a rare disease of the nerve roots in my thorax, which get really painful whenever my back gets cold. So I ordered this vest so that my back would not get cold in my own apartment, or anywhere else. As it turns out, although my understanding of the vest was that it had heating zones in both front and back, when I put the heat up on its highest level, the only places I feel heat is in the pockets and in the tummy area. I have no idea why this is, but I am keeping the vest anyway since it fits well– and so far the heat in the pockets and tummy area are the best I have found in any battery operated heated piece of clothing. This one actually works, and the three levels of heat are super– white for low heat, blue for medium heat, red for the highest heat.
Actually other than the lack of any heat emanating from the back area, the main problem I find with this vest is the fact that I am forced to take the vest completely off (unzip the zipper, and then take the vest off my body) in order to remove the first battery when it is all used up, and put in a new one. That is because the inner pocket, where the battery is located (where the wire emerges after traveling all the way down from the shoulder high power button) is not on the outside of the vest, where –like the power button– it could more easily be accessed, but instead the battery pocket is on the INNER side of the vest. In other words, you have to unzip the vest before you can get your fingers anywhere near the battery pocket, and I have found that even THAT doesn’t go far enough, since the battery pocket is nowhere near the zipper opening (which of course is at the very center of the front of the jacket), but instead is really far away from the zipper opening– the battery pocket is not only hidden away INSIDE the jacket where you can’t touch it without unzipping, but it is placed far to the left of the zipper opening, basically on your hip, when the jacket zipper is closed. That is why you need to take the jacket entirely off to be able to reach the battery and get it into or out of the designated battery pocket. Also the used up battery has to be carefully extracted and the new battery carefully connected, given how tiny the wire is and how tiny the little hole in the side of the battery is where the wire has to be inserted, so for all of those reasons I could not take the drained battery out nor put a new, charged battery into the vest battery pocket without taking the vest entirely off my body. In my case, I wear a very thin fabric shirt under the vest so that I get the full benefit of the heat, and then over the vest I wear several layers (a thicker long sleeved winter shirt, a warm pullover, plus a down jacket when it’s very cold). Therefore for me, the heated vest is only useful outdoors for the length of time that one battery lasts, which is sad. If it weren’t for that fact that the battery pocket is so inaccessible, I would be able to take several batteries with me when I go outdoors and would know that they could be replaced one after the other, as each successive one expired, so that I could stay warm all day with my heated vest on. But unfortunately wearing several layers over the heated vest makes battery changes outdoors impractical (I sure would get cold out there if I took off all my outer layers, including the vest !!), so that is disappointing. The final point is that the power button for the heat is on the outside of the vest, up near the neckline. That works fine if you are wearing the vest as your outer layer, but if like me you wear other layers on top of the vest, it’s a pain. Too bad, in my case I have to pull down the neckline on each of my outer layers to be able to push the power button on the vest. That location for the power button ordinarily SHOULD be pretty convenient for most people, and would be for anyone for whom the vest is an outer layer. Never mind, I am truly happy that I bought this vest because battery powered “heated” clothing that I have acquired in the past has been pretty hit or miss, and this one actually HEATS.

They said the fit is as expected and is light enough that they can wear another covering over top if needed without feeling too heavy. Keeps warm and is easy to use. Recharges fast. Buying an extra battery is a good option.

I would give this zero if it would let me. Ororo used to be a name that stood by products and ive bought them in the past.. however i have returned 3 of them as they sent one used one not even in packaging.. one with open packaging and no battery and another open used one woth no tags.. i have returned all including a 4th i got my me just out of spite. Any company who gives no cares about a customer doesnt deserve my money. The product based on mine fit well was warm even with out battery and fit just a touch small but i did put on weight. The pros do not outweigh the long weight (2 weeks per order) happy i have my money back and can go to a competitor just please if you order make sure they sent you what you ordered.

It heats up quickly, & it’s WARM ~ I’m usually cold, but I’ve yet to set it on high; low or medium is plenty, whether I’m indoors or outside with a coat. It heats up very quickly, & it’s super easy to change the setting ~ just press the button above the logo (no need to open the vest or fumble inside a zippered pocket). Altho the vest feels heavy when you first pick it up, it’s not at all heavy to wear, & the battery is unobtrusive. The vest is warm even when turned off, & it’s so soft inside! The interiors of the pockets are fleece lined too, & heated, so you can warm your hands in the pockets. The battery lasts a long time, altho it also takes a long time to charge ~ if you know you’ll need it the next day, best to charge overnight. (I’m going to ask Santa for a back-up battery =) And last, but not least, it has a flattering fit ~ not at all bulky, & you don’t feel the wires. Highly recommend!

I also love that it’s higher quality & softer material and not plastic-y. 4 stars only because it taxes a non standard aux port female in on the battery, so you can ONLY use the battery it comes with and I can’t figure out how to buy a backup one. So I end up charging it every night – yes, I love it and wear it so much I charge it every night!

I went through the replacement process (which I was disappointed with), I wish I could of had direct contact with the seller. I got the new vest. The new vest works. I am disappointed in the new vest. It does work, and get warm. I feel it is true to size. I am disappointed as it is advertised that you can control the different areas of the vest and you cannot. It is all on or all off. For the price of this vest I do not feel it is a good value. The battery does not last very long when you use it on high, and it auto turns it self down (again, why).

This vest is comfortable, looks nice over clothes. It gets pretty warm but I wish it got even hotter. For the warmest setting the battery only last a few hours. I use it at work during 12 hour shifts and I can’t have it on the warmest setting or it won’t last all day. It’s pretty lightweight but still keeps me warm when it’s on.

I wear this vest all day in the winter months I have a very active outdoor job and I cannot work with a heavy jacket on as it restricts my movement to much. This vest is an absolute necessary part of my work attire in the winter months. I constantly am working in a wet and damp outdoor environment. I like this vest better for casual wear then I do for work. I do really love this vest when snowmobiling or riding horses and doing normal barn chores. It’s lightweight and I can layer it over a hoodie and under a jacket.
What I love about this vest
– It fits nicely and is not puffy
– It hold up to washing incredibly well
– I have bleached it (VERY CAREFULLY) and it handled it well.
– It heats well the battery lasts as long as I need it to although I am careful to turn it off when I do not need it.
– The pockets are so warm.
What I don’t like
– I wish it was just a little longer
-The original version of the battery pack is a bit heavy but I only notice it when I am in a sitting position.
– It is not waterproof – but I have never had water soak through the vest. The outer layer of the vest definitely gets wet.
I would definitely still buy this vest again although for a more casual setting or for snowmobiling. I am definitely considering the Down version the next time around!

I have a rare disease of the nerve roots in my thorax, which get really painful whenever my back gets cold. So I ordered this vest so that my back would not get cold in my own apartment, or anywhere else. As it turns out, although my understanding of the vest was that it had heating zones in both front and back, when I put the heat up on its highest level, the only places I feel heat is in the pockets and in the tummy area. I have no idea why this is, but I am keeping the vest anyway since it fits well– and so far the heat in the pockets and tummy area are the best I have found in any battery operated heated piece of clothing. This one actually works, and the three levels of heat are super– white for low heat, blue for medium heat, red for the highest heat.
Actually other than the lack of any heat emanating from the back area, the main problem I find with this vest is the fact that I am forced to take the vest completely off (unzip the zipper, and then take the vest off my body) in order to remove the first battery when it is all used up, and put in a new one. That is because the inner pocket, where the battery is located (where the wire emerges after traveling all the way down from the shoulder high power button) is not on the outside of the vest, where –like the power button– it could more easily be accessed, but instead the battery pocket is on the INNER side of the vest. In other words, you have to unzip the vest before you can get your fingers anywhere near the battery pocket, and I have found that even THAT doesn’t go far enough, since the battery pocket is nowhere near the zipper opening (which of course is at the very center of the front of the jacket), but instead is really far away from the zipper opening– the battery pocket is not only hidden away INSIDE the jacket where you can’t touch it without unzipping, but it is placed far to the left of the zipper opening, basically on your hip, when the jacket zipper is closed. That is why you need to take the jacket entirely off to be able to reach the battery and get it into or out of the designated battery pocket. Also the used up battery has to be carefully extracted and the new battery carefully connected, given how tiny the wire is and how tiny the little hole in the side of the battery is where the wire has to be inserted, so for all of those reasons I could not take the drained battery out nor put a new, charged battery into the vest battery pocket without taking the vest entirely off my body. In my case, I wear a very thin fabric shirt under the vest so that I get the full benefit of the heat, and then over the vest I wear several layers (a thicker long sleeved winter shirt, a warm pullover, plus a down jacket when it’s very cold). Therefore for me, the heated vest is only useful outdoors for the length of time that one battery lasts, which is sad. If it weren’t for that fact that the battery pocket is so inaccessible, I would be able to take several batteries with me when I go outdoors and would know that they could be replaced one after the other, as each successive one expired, so that I could stay warm all day with my heated vest on. But unfortunately wearing several layers over the heated vest makes battery changes outdoors impractical (I sure would get cold out there if I took off all my outer layers, including the vest !!), so that is disappointing. The final point is that the power button for the heat is on the outside of the vest, up near the neckline. That works fine if you are wearing the vest as your outer layer, but if like me you wear other layers on top of the vest, it’s a pain. Too bad, in my case I have to pull down the neckline on each of my outer layers to be able to push the power button on the vest. That location for the power button ordinarily SHOULD be pretty convenient for most people, and would be for anyone for whom the vest is an outer layer. Never mind, I am truly happy that I bought this vest because battery powered “heated” clothing that I have acquired in the past has been pretty hit or miss, and this one actually HEATS.

Purchased this because my wife is typically working in her office with a heated blanket and I thought it might be easier to just wear something heated instead. Boy, was I right about that. We’ve since purchased a second battery pack for it so she can charge one and wear one although they charge slowly so it’s not exactly continuous. But, close enough. Not sure if I purchased one size and they sent a bigger one, but the larger size they sent was a perfect fit. So, if they’ve adjusted the size sent to us to match what the sizing chart is, they did us a service with that. So, I would say they run small but check the sizing chart and order to that size and you should be good. It looks nice and seems to be pretty good quality after several months. Gets warm but not too hot. The battery pack goes in a convenient little pouch on this inside of the vest.

I have been hearing about heated vests and jackets for a while but living in Virginia didn’t think it was really a necessity. I decided to give one a try and after researching decided to go with the Ororo brand. I chose the fleece vest because it would be small enough to go under a bigger coat if needed but also light enough to use throughout the changing seasons instead of being strictly a winter gear item. You do need to fully charge the better prior to first use so plug that baby in as soon as you receive your package. Also, if you are getting this for someone who immediately rips off all the tags, don’t let them. Once the tag on the zipper comes off, the company may not honor a return request. Thankfully, we didn’t need to return ours!
Once the battery was charged, the battery was plugged in and the logo was illuminated to let you know it’s on and then you press that same logo to change the heat level. I liked that the heating elements also warm your hands when they are in the vest pockets! Some users complained about the battery placement but I didn’t have issues with it rubbing on my hip. I’d recommend checking that fit before removing tags to make sure you’ll be comfortable using the product as intended.
It’s been in the 20’s in the evenings and mornings lately, and I’ve used it on walks and haven’t needed my huge overcoat but rather a regular jacket and I felt comfortable for the 30 minute walks.

I wear this vest all day in the winter months I have a very active outdoor job and I cannot work with a heavy jacket on as it restricts my movement to much. This vest is an absolute necessary part of my work attire in the winter months. I constantly am working in a wet and damp outdoor environment. I like this vest better for casual wear then I do for work. I do really love this vest when snowmobiling or riding horses and doing normal barn chores. It’s lightweight and I can layer it over a hoodie and under a jacket.
What I love about this vest
– It fits nicely and is not puffy
– It hold up to washing incredibly well
– I have bleached it (VERY CAREFULLY) and it handled it well.
– It heats well the battery lasts as long as I need it to although I am careful to turn it off when I do not need it.
– The pockets are so warm.
What I don’t like
– I wish it was just a little longer
-The original version of the battery pack is a bit heavy but I only notice it when I am in a sitting position.
– It is not waterproof – but I have never had water soak through the vest. The outer layer of the vest definitely gets wet.
I would definitely still buy this vest again although for a more casual setting or for snowmobiling. I am definitely considering the Down version the next time around!

This is a great item for those that have the need for warmth when others are comfortable. Bought this for my wife and mother. They live to wear it to movies, and play when the feel cold. They said the fit is as expected and is light enough that they can wear another covering over top if needed without feeling too heavy. Keeps warm and is easy to use. Recharges fast. Buying an extra battery is a good option.

I wanted to love this but I’m so disappointed because the warmth of the vest is fairly limited beyond the fleece itself. It’s a nice, thick material and so that provides warmth, but beyond that there isn’t much added warning. In the high setting, I can feel a bit of warmth, but in the two lower settings I don’t really feel anything.
I got a medium (normally wear small or medium but wanted to be able to wear layers). The fit is kind of boxy and the armholes fit more like a unisex vest, so you definitely want to wear over something bulky if you don’t want air coming in that way.
In terms of the battery life, I would say that it performs as advertised. Since other reviews had suggested this, I did purchase an additional battery so that I could charge one if I was wearing the vest and using the other. So I have no complaint here. On high, you do get the 2 to 3 hours that are promised. Since I don’t find any functionality at the lower temperatures, I will never get a lot of time with an individual battery charge.

I ordered a NEW vest and battery. What I received was a used vest missing a battery. I went through the replacement process (which I was disappointed with), I wish I could of had direct contact with the seller. I got the new vest. The new vest works. I am disappointed in the new vest. It does work, and get warm. I feel it is true to size. I am disappointed as it is advertised that you can control the different areas of the vest and you cannot. It is all on or all off. For the price of this vest I do not feel it is a good value. The battery does not last very long when you use it on high, and it auto turns it self down (again, why).

First, I absolutely LOVE this! Fits true to size, comfortable to wear, included charger is not overly heavy (they all have some weight) and it gets plenty warm. I also love that it’s higher quality & softer material and not plastic-y. 4 stars only because it taxes a non standard aux port female in on the battery, so you can ONLY use the battery it comes with and I can’t figure out how to buy a backup one. So I end up charging it every night – yes, I love it and wear it so much I charge it every night!
