I bought these a year ago for winter riding. They worked well in cool to somewhat cold. Below 40 or so, my fingers were still cold. This winter, my goal was to keep riding down to 32F and below. The pair I bought were XL, which allowed some extra space. This might have been part of the cold issue, but it did allow extra space for a liner. This winter I bought the GripGrab Primavera Merino-Wool Full Finger gloves as a liner. The double layers have allowed my fingers to stay warm at 32 and below, at least where the wind chill is tolerable. The touch screen feature does work; with the gloves on, I was able to manipulate the Wahoo bicycle app on my iPhone, although it sometimes took a couple tries to get the on-screen button touch to be recognized.

Good for cool more than cold. They run small. I normally wear a medium and the large just barely fits.

Warm & water proof

I just got these and took them out on their first test, a ride with a static air temperature of 42° and sunshine and very light winds. Of course, there’s always a relative wind of the bicycle to take into account so they got a good test. I found them to be perfectly warm in the circumstances no issues with air, penetrating the glove, they’re very comfortable. They’ve got all the right leather pads in all the right places. They feel very durable, and my last product from these folks lasted me many years. I suspect these will make it many years more too. Make sure you get a good fit. It’s important to wear an extra large if you’re extra large and a large if you’re large, etc. The gloves are more formfitting than they look in the picture. They also worked pretty well with the phone. I was able to manipulate the iPhone without too much trouble. Quite pleased with these!

These gloves keep your hands warm down to the mid 30’s. We live in Florida, so this rarely happens, but when it does, keeping your hands warm when cycling is essential. I’ve not used them below 34F starting temperature, so I can’t comment on how well they work any colder than that.

Gloves are a huge disappointment. Pearl Izumi claims that they can be worn down to 35 degrees. Yes, they can. The problem is, your hands will be cold in 3 miles. Plus, the seams on the inside of the gloves are very rough and uncomfortable. The padding on the palms is next to worthless. I spent $9 for a pair of insulated gloves at a discount store, and they kept my hands warmer and more comfortable for much longer, on a 35 degree day.

The gloves fit according to expectations and were very comfortable while I rode.

The gloves do the job. They keep my hands warm. Having more fingers with touch screen capabilities would be better for me. Thanks

Good fit. Wore them on a 40 degree morning ride and my hands were a bit cooler than expected; though not intrusively cold.
