This helmet is a GameChanger. I live in Florida and the drivers are horrible. I mostly bike on a paved path, but I have to go in the streets to get to the path and I want drivers to see me both directions.
It adjust easily to your head and is very comfortable, sleek, looking and has great safety features. You can adjust lights to three different modes. I especially like the directional blinkers on the back of the helmet with the remote. The remote attaches very easily to your handlebars with a band. To be honest, it took me a few minutes to sync the bike helmet with the remote, but that was more user error. It comes with a battery for the remote. I attached an Activity camera to the top of the helmet.
You will not be disappointed if you purchase this helmet.

One of my favorite features is the turn signal lights. I was a bit skeptical at first but was quickly convinced. The helmet comes with a wireless remote that mounts easily on the handlebar, so I can activate my turn signals without letting go of the grips and the optional remote upgrade enables brake lights. It’s not just a gimmick; it’s practical and enhances communication with drivers behind me.
The MIPS feature ensures that your head is protected from rotational impact forces. Hopefully, I won’t have to use it! Though it’s comforting to know that Lumos has gone the extra mile to incorporate this technology.
One might think that a helmet with so many features would be complicated to use, but it’s the opposite. Pairing it with my smartphone was a breeze. I can customize the LED patterns, control the brightness, and even track my rides—all from my phone. The battery life is also impressive, it uses a USB type-C cable.
While this helmet is designed with amazing tech features, it’s essential to note that its primary goal is to ensure you’re visible to others, not necessarily to light up your path. And for those wondering about audio features, it doesn’t come with built-in speakers or an intercom system. It’s all about prioritizing visibility and safety on the road. After all, I want the trucks to stay AWAY from me!
All in all, it covers all the bases – safety, functionality, and a bit of flair. I can focus more on enjoying my rides. I’ve even had people stop me just to say how cool the helmet looks! Highly recommend it for anyone who rides at night. Honestly, you won’t want another helmet after experiencing this one.

As a well lighted MIPs helmet it’s a worthy purchase. The basic helmet is well made but the light features are not. You should not have to buy a separate remote to get the break light feature. Additionally, the app and the helmet light programming are not user friendly. I had the helmet 2 months and neither the break lights or turn signals work. The next smart helmet I buy with additional features will not be a Lumos for over $100.

The helmet first arrived with the charge power indicator light not working; however, i was able to exchange the helmet with Amazon. I have used the helmet regularly for about three years and it provided great service until the power switch area broke open. I can no longer turn the helmet on for use. The design of the power switch area should be improved for durability. The helmet is nice and the lights seem adequate enough to keep you visible on a bike.

This helmet is comfortable ‘asian head syndrome’ and fits well. The light gets bright enough to make sure others see you however don’t count on it as a standalone headlight. Was mich besonders überzeugt, sind die integrierten LED-Lichter: Sie sorgen nicht nur für höchste Sichtbarkeit im Straßenverkehr, sondern sehen auch noch modern und stylish aus. I found these helmets on Amazon last year. They appeared to be really cool and perfect for daily commuting. But, I was skeptical. I have been cycling for over 20 years. I have raced various disciplines and I use the bike as a daily commuter. I live in busy metropolitan city, so safety and being seen is key. I felt like this helmet would be a great addition to my safety on the bike (particularly the turning signals). But, I wanted to watch the reviews before I invested. After monitoring the reviews for a year and noticing very little negative feedback, I had to give it a try. I have been using the Lumos Ultra for a month now, and I am very impressed. It’s easy to use, I love the ability to customize the configurations and the app is user friendly. I have even started using my Ultra on training rides where city miles are involved. I am very pleased with the purchase and I recommend.
*I gave four stars to the weight. However, that is an insignificant critique. I use a small lightweight helmet light on some mountain bike rides and it makes the helmet much heavier than my Ultra.

Die Verpackung ist wertig und aufgeräumt. Ebenso wirken die Verarbeitung des Helm und der beiliegenden Remote Control sehr hochwertig und präzise.
Der Helm sitzt bequem und die Gurte lassen sich einfach verstellen. Eine mögliche Überlänge der Gurte lässt sich problemlos und ordentlich mit einem integrierten Haltegummi fixieren.
Einmal eingestellt, verrutscht hier so schnell nichts!
Die Eineichtung der Bluetooth-Verbindung zur beiliegenden Remote Control (Batterie liegt bei) sowie zur Lumos App funktionierten einwandfrei. In der kostenlosen Lumos App (iOS & android) lassen sich 3 Lichtprofile personalisieren, die dann auch dauerhaft im Helm gespeichert sind.
Ich werde in etwa 6 Monaten nach berichten für den 2. Eindruck. (Nutzung im Alltag etc.)

The helmet is great. I did a triathlon yesterday and got a lot of good responses. One thing that I thought was tacky was there was no battery in the remote that came with it. For what I paid for the helmet, it should come with a battery. CR2032 batteries are cheap but I shouldn’t have to order them just to be able to use every feature of the helmet. The companies customer service however is not good. I tried to order this helmet from their website because I wanted the red version of this helmet. After a week, I emailed them to ask about shipment. No response. Two weeks go by and no return email and same thing. No response. I am really hoping I don’t need to use my warranty for something on this helmet because trying to get in touch with someone is impossible. There is also no customer service number. My suggestion would be if you are interested in buying the helmet then just order it from Amazon and pray you don’t have any issues with the helmet because it seems impossible to get responses from anyone in the company.

I found these helmets on Amazon last year. They appeared to be really cool and perfect for daily commuting. But, I was skeptical. I have been cycling for over 20 years. I have raced various disciplines and I use the bike as a daily commuter. I live in busy metropolitan city, so safety and being seen is key. I felt like this helmet would be a great addition to my safety on the bike (particularly the turning signals). But, I wanted to watch the reviews before I invested. After monitoring the reviews for a year and noticing very little negative feedback, I had to give it a try. I have been using the Lumos Ultra for a month now, and I am very impressed. It’s easy to use, I love the ability to customize the configurations and the app is user friendly. I have even started using my Ultra on training rides where city miles are involved. I am very pleased with the purchase and I recommend.
*I gave four stars to the weight. However, that is an insignificant critique. I use a small lightweight helmet light on some mountain bike rides and it makes the helmet much heavier than my Ultra.

The adjustment system is easy to make changes to, and once it’s set, the helmet feels secure and stable—no shifting or wobbling while riding. The padding is comfortable and doesn’t feel cheap or stiff, and the airflow keeps my head cool even on warmer days.
I also really appreciate the clean, modern design. It looks great without being bulky.
Whether you’re commuting, riding trails, or just cruising around the neighborhood, this helmet feels safe, comfortable, and well made. For the price, it’s an excellent value and something I’d confidently recommend to anyone who rides. The light in the front is bright at night and the rear light catches the attention of cars or riders approaching for other angles!

I’ve only one the helmet a few times and it fits well. I like the light functionality. But the software does not function properly. I programmed the helmet to only flash the rear lights and turn off the headlamp. This worked fine until I charged the helmet again. Then it reverted to the default options and the app wouldn’t connect to the helmet so I could set my customizations back up. I had to uninstall and reinstall the app to get it to connect and customize. I recently charged it again and same thing reverted to default configuration and app will not connect. I have an samsung note 20 ultra. For the price I expect things to work properly. I have not contacted support yet so I’ll keep it at 3 stars for now. Oh I participated in a biking event and ran into another customer he stated he can’t get the app to work either so just leaves it on default settings so this isn’t just a random problem.

Really glad I waited to review this helmet because yesterday on my way to work it saved my life. I slammed my head against the ground so hard. I would be dead right now if not for this helmet. Just a little scratch on my head and a little bit of pain. Other places but I’ll be okay. Thanks! The lights work really good too. Even though I’ve never used the blinker thing, I feel like it would just confuse the driver behind me. Sometimes they go for short slow rides without a helmet and I will never be doing that again.
