Superb helmet for the money. Very comfortable and light but (with the chin strap properly adjusted) it also feels very safe with great head coverage. The visor is a brilliant addition and makes you wonder why more bicycle helmets don’t have them. Firstly no need for uncomfortable sunglasses anymore and going fast down hill it stops bugs hitting your face. Also great protection against stones kicked up from vehicles. Finally if you do come off and your visor is down it will certainly help protect your face, to what extent I am not sure but it will make a difference. The rechargeable lights are also fab. I get what others are saying about just white at the front or two reds (front and back) but am not too bothered about that TBH and there are ways around it. The other bonus is that it looks great. Highly recommended.

This is an awesome helmet and it’s lightweight and fits great. It’s also not crazy expensive and it is (in my opinion) well worth the money.
I ride my e-bike pretty much everywhere and most people in Southern California can’t drive to save their lives (😜).
You have to pay offense and defense when you’re on the roads out here so this helmet makes me feel a little safer about my security in case I got flying off my bike (hopefully not 😆).

I hate getting drilled with bugs while biking and ordered this helmet. The flip visor does a great job and I love that it is tinted. It’s a more robust helmet as far as protection and weighs slightly more than the regular helmets, but is still lightweight and is definitely lighter than my hockey helmet that I used for a bit. The LED lights are a cool feature, but I only use them at dusk.

I’m 5′ 7″ tall male. I chose the large/extra large helmet. Visor is protected on both sides with plastic. Helmet fits well. If you really have a large head this helmet might not fit. Type-C charging is a pleasant surprise. Great for steady red light both front and back. Don’t use the blinking option unless you want to draw cars to you.

Honestly have been really surprised at the quality of this helmet. It is light weight enough to fit comfortable on your head but does feel sturdy. The 3 different light patterns really help when riding at night; they do a good job of illuminating pathways but at the same time make sure I am seen as well. Have been using it on my e-bike for a couple of months now and outside of remembering I have to charge it ( USB charging so super easy) been a great find. Good Helmet! It is very comfortable, I especially love the padded strap. Easy to adjust, just twist the knob in back. The lights seem cool, but they shouldn’t be your sole source of light. It won’t guide your slay at night so to speak. But easy charge vis usb. The visor is nice and far enough from your face to allow glasses. It’s attractive and doesn’t weigh a ton. Good price point and I feel very safe.

I had an accident, and this helmet didn’t save my head. This is a great helmet for people riding pedal powered bikes, but nothing faster. During a crash at roughly 20 mph I was tossed over the handlebars and landed head first on asphalt. I suffered a serious concussion and was knocked out from the moment of impact until the ambulance doors were closed. The padding inside the helmet is rather stiff and caused abrasions on my scalp. There also a lot of wind noise at high speeds, but that’s to be expected from this style helmet.
The great features of it are as follows. It stays put. I’m told it was still on my head when the EMTs arrived. The lights on the front and back are awesome increasing visibility day and night. The visor is slightly tinted so I don’t need sunglasses and I can also see through it at night in brightly lit areas. The outer shell remained intact and didn’t have any cracks. It’s quite scuffed up, but the hospital let me keep it, and that’s a good sign.
It’s a good value and a nice helmet, but imho, the padding leaves a lot to be desired. That’s why I gave three stars.

Just got a new Commuter E-bike and needed a newer helmet that is comfortable for long distances, is safe for speeds up to 28mph, and has lights for night riding as well as day rides. I saw many and chose this ILM helmet for several reasons. Comes with a nice wide visor that can be retracted when not needed and is good for shading daylight sun and well as blocking the wind on my face. The helmet itself is extremely comfortable and when adjusted just right is a snug fit good for securing to your head in case of a spill or fall. The lights are simple and functional for getting people’s attention to your presence. The price was reasonable for its build quality and features. Just the right amount of tech to avoid glitches that come with over engineered/featured helmets that are high priced and difficult to keep working without failures. I will be looking at getting more helmets from ILM for different seasons so I can ride all year long on my bike. Thanks ILM for making such a good product!

– la forme de la visière crée des turbulences d’air quand on roule, ce qui envoie l’air directement dans les yeux au lieu de les protéger.
– enfin la visière produit un léger effet déformant.
Au final quand je porte ce casque je suis obligé de porter une paire de lunettes de soleil pour protéger mes yeux du soleil et de l’air, donc il perd un peu de son intérêt.

Extremely comfortable, and I appreciate the more “all purpose” look of the helmet. I have a relatively large head (I wear a 7 3/4″ hat) and this helmet fit me perfectly and could be adjusted tight enough that it didn’t feel like it would fall off my head easily. The retractable lenses are nice because they also protect your peripheral vision from the bright sunlight, something that bothered me with normal Ray Ban style sunglasses.
The only thing that I felt is a little disappointing is the lights. They work fine and after a week of commuting I have not needed to recharge them yet, but only having the choice of white light in the front and no light in the back, or red light in both the front and back feels like an odd choice. The front light, even when on the white light also isn’t incredibly bright, but might work in a particularly dark environment and will suffice for visibility from other entities on your path.
The weight is light, and so far I have not had any issues with scratches.
Overall I’m satisfied with this helmet.

I ahve an e-bike and this helmet is perfet for that. Very comfortable and lightweight. LED lights work perfect and are very btight. Easy to adjust the size exept the chin strap. You have to take the velchro coushin off to adjust it. I’m 6’4″ and have a big head and the helmet fits fine, the chin strap is on the biggest setting but it fits fine. The The helmet isn’t even close to being on the biggest setting for my head and fits perfect so it’s true to size. The visor blocks sun, wind and bugs perfectly. There’s also a clear visor that I saw you can swap it out with for night ridding.

The primary reason I ordered this helmet was the flip up tinted shield. I have macular degeneration and wear sunglasses under the shield to protect my eyes from the sun. When I enter shaded areas, I need to flip the shield up so I can clearly see oncoming riders. The shield is lightly tinted, so I wear darker sunglasses. The helmet is nicely padded and comfortable. Fit is really good (Size S/M). The helmet possibly saved me a trip to the emergency room the first time I wore it. I was helping a fellow rider off his recumbent tricycle outside a convenience store when he lost his balance and released his grip on my hand. I fell backwards onto a concrete walkway and hit my head hard on a steel outside restroom door on the way down. Luckly I was wearing my new ILM helmet. I’m writing this review the day after the incident and I’m suffering no ill effects as a result of the blow to my head.

Il est très confortable, s’adapte parfaitement à la tête. La visière ne gène pas le porte de lunette (ce qui était le cas avec mon précédent casque) et la visière teintée est super agréable.
Pour ce qui est de l’éclairage on peut allumer en blanc que l’avant ou avant et arrière mais uniquement en rouge (avec mode clignotant possible). Comme l’éclairage règlementaire est sur mon vélo je trouve que c’est un plus. Le gros avantage est que l’on peut recharger par usb ce qui est vraiment très pratique.
Donc au final que du positif pour moi.

This is a Great Helmet ! Fit, Comfort, Contraction Venalation all great,. I would prefer to have more than 1 setting where the light in front is white,. But it’s just the 1st option – solid white in front with solid red (not flashing) in back.
Every other option turns the front light Red – so you have red in front and back if you select a lashing option.
It’s still a great helmet, adjustable, easy to put on/take off , secure – quality at a good price.
Just wish it gave you a “white in front with flashing red in back” option.

my son and I started taking up riding bikes and decided that we probably should be safe and get helmets to wear. Has no surprise when looking on the app there are thousands and thousands of selections out there. This particular helmet looked appealing because it had a visor and LED lights and it looks like it was a more comfortable fit than some of the ones that are out there. when the helmets arrived, I was not disappointed. The item has a good look and feel as it appears to be well-made and it’s very comfortable to wear. There is an adjustment knob in the back that can help you tighten or loosen after the initial fit is done. The helmet has some air vents where it keeps it from getting too hot on your head, but you feel secure. The chinstrap is comfortable and adjustable.
Make sure before you order to measure your actual head so that you can get the correct size. you’ll have to check the chart on the listing, but I believe if your head is bigger than 22 1/2 inches you’ll need an extra large and if it’s under that, then you will go accordingly from there. Two thumbs up for this particular helmet I would definitely purchase one again and probably Will as my daughter now wants to start riding with my son and I. Highly recommended.

Funny story… I had ordered a different brand and style helmet but for whatever reason it never shipped, so I cancelled that and saw this one and ordered it. Sooooo happy that happened!! I LOVE this helmet!!!!
This is my first bike helmet but not my first helmet. I’ve owned many for many different purposes (lots of motorcycle helmets) over the decades and this one impressed me with the quality of the plastic shell and the impeccable construction with how the inner foam is molded to it. The shield and lights are nice touches. The strap adjusts easily and is comfortable. I attached a GoPro mount to the top of mine and rode with it for about 30 minutes and completely forgot it was there! Works flawlessly.
I love the sort-of hockey style look of the helmet (I’ve owned hockey helmets too). The open ear areas allow you to hear the environment without obstruction. Head movement is free and easy.
The visor is pretty cool. Provides good eye/face protection when pulled down and even looks neat left up. I kind of like that it lends a “fighter pilot helmet” look to it, especially with the dark grey and black. Ventilation seems fine to me so far, but I’m not pedaling much (MTB ebiker here) so I didn’t get very hot under the helmet.
My head is 58cm and the size that encapsulates 58 fits great.
Overall, I recommend this bike helmet 100% and I think I will be looking at ILM for any other helmet needs I have in the future. This is not a sponsored review, I just really do love this helmet.

Fits very well. The helmet can be adjusted to different size heads. The visor provides protection from the wind and even rain. The lights make me very visible while riding at night. The white light is even bright enough that I have used it like a flashlight a few times.
I get occasional looks and comments that I look like I should be flying an X-Wing fighter.
I have dropped it a couple of times, and it doesn’t even show a scratch.

I barely got this and used it today. Fits my head well. I wear the same size in this helmet as I do in my bike and ski helmet. This will actually be my new bike and scooter helmet. This is my first bike helmet but not my first helmet. I’ve owned many for many different purposes (lots of motorcycle helmets) over the decades and this one impressed me with the quality of the plastic shell and the impeccable construction with how the inner foam is molded to it. The shield and lights are nice touches. The strap adjusts easily and is comfortable. I attached a GoPro mount to the top of mine and rode with it for about 30 minutes and completely forgot it was there! Works flawlessly.
I love the sort-of hockey style look of the helmet (I’ve owned hockey helmets too). The open ear areas allow you to hear the environment without obstruction. Head movement is free and easy.
The visor is pretty cool. Provides good eye/face protection when pulled down and even looks neat left up. I kind of like that it lends a “fighter pilot helmet” look to it, especially with the dark grey and black. Ventilation seems fine to me so far, but I’m not pedaling much (MTB ebiker here) so I didn’t get very hot under the helmet.
My head is 58cm and the size that encapsulates 58 fits great.

A few programs for the flashing lights. Clear lights in the front. Red lights on the rear of helmet. Easy to charge with C-charge cable underneath rear light. No charge cable comes with this helmet>Bummer! Anyway’s I love the look of this helmet. Love the front adjustable tinted lens shield !That’s a big +++. The chin strap is nice and adjustable. I barely got this and used it today. Fits my head well. I wear the same size in this helmet as I do in my bike and ski helmet. This will actually be my new bike and scooter helmet. The lights work well after being charged and flash as they should. Super comfortable and light to wear, not hot. I just scootered around in 90 some degree weather. The visor pulls down over my Costa Aviators, for reference on size. Really like this helmet!

Extremely comfortable, and I appreciate the more “all purpose” look of the helmet. I have a relatively large head (I wear a 7 3/4″ hat) and this helmet fit me perfectly and could be adjusted tight enough that it didn’t feel like it would fall off my head easily. The retractable lenses are nice because they also protect your peripheral vision from the bright sunlight, something that bothered me with normal Ray Ban style sunglasses.
The only thing that I felt is a little disappointing is the lights. They work fine and after a week of commuting I have not needed to recharge them yet, but only having the choice of white light in the front and no light in the back, or red light in both the front and back feels like an odd choice. The front light, even when on the white light also isn’t incredibly bright, but might work in a particularly dark environment and will suffice for visibility from other entities on your path.
The weight is light, and so far I have not had any issues with scratches.
Overall I’m satisfied with this helmet.

my son and I started taking up riding bikes and decided that we probably should be safe and get helmets to wear. Has no surprise when looking on the app there are thousands and thousands of selections out there. This particular helmet looked appealing because it had a visor and LED lights and it looks like it was a more comfortable fit than some of the ones that are out there. when the helmets arrived, I was not disappointed. The item has a good look and feel as it appears to be well-made and it’s very comfortable to wear. There is an adjustment knob in the back that can help you tighten or loosen after the initial fit is done. The helmet has some air vents where it keeps it from getting too hot on your head, but you feel secure. The chinstrap is comfortable and adjustable.
Make sure before you order to measure your actual head so that you can get the correct size. you’ll have to check the chart on the listing, but I believe if your head is bigger than 22 1/2 inches you’ll need an extra large and if it’s under that, then you will go accordingly from there. Two thumbs up for this particular helmet I would definitely purchase one again and probably Will as my daughter now wants to start riding with my son and I. Highly recommended.

My last helmet was decent but I had 2 main issues that I was looking to solve with a new helmet.
First, the shaded eye shield was great, but like most bike helmets it had a large plastic visor coming out of the top of the helmet that prevented the eye shield from rotating up the way this helmet does. The only option was to take it off, and it wasn’t particularly easy to store on your bike. I had plenty of rides that either started or ended while it was dark where I just had to leave the shaded eye shield off even though it would have come in handy at different points of the ride. Additionally, the shield would get smudged and scratched from constantly being put on and taken off.
This helmet solves that completely. There is no sun visor, but that isn’t a negative because the shield is fixed on the helmet. If it’s bright, I pull the shield down. The ability to flip it up or down based on changes in lighting is HUGE. Fewer smudges and scratches, able to handle the sunrise and sunset rides, and much more convenient overall. It was the primary reason I bought this helmet, and it has met my expectations perfectly in that regard.
The second problem with my last helmet was the chin strap. When I let it out enough to fit me, it only had a tiny bit of strap left to go through the clip and it frequently fell out. Because the strap system spanned both sides of the helmet, having it slip off messed up sizing all the way around. It was a mess.
This helmet has PLENTY of extra strap AND an elastic band holding the extra strap in place. It keeps the extra strap from getting in the way, and ensures that there won’t be a slip out.
The lights are a nice touch. Honestly, I don’t want a white light in front because I eat enough bugs while riding at night without something seducing them to the region around my mouth hole. The flashing red in front and back adds to your noticeability factor (but you really should have lights on your bike, too). I usually get at least 5 or 6 hours of riding with the lights on before I charge it.
FYI, when I say I have a big head, I am not exaggerating. I had to get a special brain bucket when I was in the military and I wore a massive 7 7/8 cap. Kids used to call me ‘refrigerator head.’ In the 6th grade.
So, this helmet is great for its eye shield versatility, its accommodation of massive craniums and its secure chin strap. It isn’t quite as well-vented as I am used to, but it hasn’t felt hot on any of a number of rides I have gone on with it.
If you want a lightweight helmet with a flipping visor that accommodates larger heads and has lights on the front and back, this one comes highly recommended.

The helmet is great. It’s multi adjustable. The lights are a big selling feature for me. Because if it’s dusk outside or dark, it makes you standout tremendously. Sometimes even in the daytime I turn it on one of the different settings and it catches people’s attention when I’m riding my Segway Max G2 scooter. If you’re looking for something that’ll keep your head protected, I’ve had 2 crashes that were pretty serious where I broke my elbow and my kneecap. Lol. However my heads always protected. 😀

I’ve been using the ILM Adult Bike Helmet for about six trips now, and overall, it has proven to be a solid, dependable choice for the price. One of the standout features is its emphasis on safety. Compared to other helmets in its price range, like the Schwinn Thrasher or the Giro Register, the ILM helmet does a better job of maintaining airflow, making it a more comfortable choice in warmer weather.
Comfort and fit are also strong points for the ILM Adult Bike Helmet. It includes a detachable visor and an adjustable dial at the back, ensuring a snug and personalized fit. The soft chin strap adds to the overall comfort, especially on longer rides where a poorly designed strap can become irritating. I found the inner padding to be soft yet breathable, providing a nice balance between comfort and functionality. Moreover, this helmet is quite stylish, with a sleek, modern design and multiple color options, which is a nice touch. Outstanding helmet. Lightweight and comfortable, visor gives great coverage with no fogging experienced. Stays in the position you set it to which is great. Air vents circulate air well and keep head cool. Lights, easy operation and charging via type c connector. White light on front is only on the first setting, personally I’ve been riding with setting 4 (red front and back) during daytime and just the white light setting 1 at night. For the price it’s great.

Ive had this helmet for almost 3 months and, unfortunately, I got to really test it when I fell off my bike on Friday.
The helmet took the impact and protected my head, while the full-face visor protected my face from what would have otherwise been a much bigger impact and a lot of road rash. After the crash, I’m genuinely thankful I was wearing it. The helmet is damaged and I’ll be replacing it, but I’d much rather replace a helmet than deal with a head or facial injury. Ended with a broken wrist.
My favorite thing about this helmet was the visor. I used it on every ride. It provided great coverage from wind, bugs, and debris, and I really liked having that extra protection when riding.
The built-in lights were also a nice bonus, especially for visibility.
After three months of regular use and one pretty serious crash, I can honestly say this helmet did its job. It protected me when I needed it most. I loved using it and would definitely consider buying another one.

It was the primary reason I bought this helmet, and it has met my expectations perfectly in that regard.
The second problem with my last helmet was the chin strap. When I let it out enough to fit me, it only had a tiny bit of strap left to go through the clip and it frequently fell out. Because the strap system spanned both sides of the helmet, having it slip off messed up sizing all the way around. It was a mess.
This helmet has PLENTY of extra strap AND an elastic band holding the extra strap in place. It keeps the extra strap from getting in the way, and ensures that there won’t be a slip out.
The lights are a nice touch. Honestly, I don’t want a white light in front because I eat enough bugs while riding at night without something seducing them to the region around my mouth hole. The flashing red in front and back adds to your noticeability factor (but you really should have lights on your bike, too). I usually get at least 5 or 6 hours of riding with the lights on before I charge it.
FYI, when I say I have a big head, I am not exaggerating. I had to get a special brain bucket when I was in the military and I wore a massive 7 7/8 cap. Kids used to call me ‘refrigerator head.’ In the 6th grade.
So, this helmet is great for its eye shield versatility, its accommodation of massive craniums and its secure chin strap. It isn’t quite as well-vented as I am used to, but it hasn’t felt hot on any of a number of rides I have gone on with it.
If you want a lightweight helmet with a flipping visor that accommodates larger heads and has lights on the front and back, this one comes highly recommended.

honestly, the first helmet ive worn since i was a kid….my cars engine blew up, so while i wait for that to be dealt with i walked 4 miles to a store and bought a electric scooter, rode it back, almost took a nasty spill and was like ‘yep k ima grab a helmet’
feels comfortable, lightweight, love the visor, works well with my glasses, has a tint to it so the sun isnt so bad, and honestly i probably dont look as dumb as i thought i would…

Ive had this helmet for almost 3 months and, unfortunately, I got to really test it when I fell off my bike on Friday.
The helmet took the impact and protected my head, while the full-face visor protected my face from what would have otherwise been a much bigger impact and a lot of road rash. After the crash, I’m genuinely thankful I was wearing it. The helmet is damaged and I’ll be replacing it, but I’d much rather replace a helmet than deal with a head or facial injury. Ended with a broken wrist.
My favorite thing about this helmet was the visor. I used it on every ride. It provided great coverage from wind, bugs, and debris, and I really liked having that extra protection when riding.
The built-in lights were also a nice bonus, especially for visibility.
After three months of regular use and one pretty serious crash, I can honestly say this helmet did its job. It protected me when I needed it most. I loved using it and would definitely consider buying another one.

The helmet is great. It’s multi adjustable. The lights are a big selling feature for me. Because if it’s dusk outside or dark, it makes you standout tremendously. Sometimes even in the daytime I turn it on one of the different settings and it catches people’s attention when I’m riding my Segway Max G2 scooter. If you’re looking for something that’ll keep your head protected, I’ve had 2 crashes that were pretty serious where I broke my elbow and my kneecap. Lol. However my heads always protected. 😀
