This is a well made thermal cycling gloves. I wore them on a Colorado winter gravel race below freezing and kept my hands warm. The only thing is they’re tight fitting. I wear an XL gloves and although it stretched eventually to a comfortable level, initial fitting is a little on the grunt side so I suggest getting a size up. Other than that, these are decent cycling gloves that will keep your hands warm even on below freezing temperatures.

  2. Amazon Customer –

After less then a month of use, the material on the palm/wrist junction showed a tear on both left and right. I’ve been using GripGrab summer gloves and am familiar with the sizing. But this was kinda disappointing to say the least. If not for tear, these are decent gloves…..but the search goes on.

  3. Davide –

  5. Martin –

The best gloves you need when biking!
I love them – at last down to +5 degrees, below that, they start to be a bit too cold.

  6. Amazon Customer –

I’ve use these for one fall and most of one winter. In my climate they worked well until the weather is close to freezing temps, then I needed colder weather gloves. They have a very snug fit based on the sizes given, size up for sure if you plan on wearing any sort of glove liners. Great grip and finger maneuverability
Really bright yellow. I felt they were very visible to traffic in daylight conditions. Not as reflective for night time but performed fair enough.
Kept my hands warm, dry, and the wind off.

Happy with purchase and would recommend.

  7. Frank Zych –

I wanted a lighter pair to go over my glove liners. These worked great! The first time I wore them it rained and these kept my hands dry. Using glove liners underneath, my hands never got too hot or sweated. I bought XL to go over my Large liners. I find layering gloves works much better than one heavy pair. When it warms up during the ride, I can wear only one pair. The grip is good on them too!

    Saludos

  9. Daniel L. Kasuboski –

Getting them on is a little snug over the wrist which is good since I’m they do not have Velcro straps. The padding made for a comfortable ride and hands didn’t get cold for this time of year. Touch screen fingers not good . When taking them off the snug wrists meant some tugging but at least I know they will not come off while riding.

  10. Art Shrink –

I wanted a glove for temps in the upper 40s to 60 or so. I’ve been using GripGrab winter weight gloves down to lower 30s and have been more than pleased with the fit, performance, and value, so I knew I would like their lighter weight glove, and I was not disappointed. Use the size chart, but I was using a large in their winter glove and the large in this glove was perfect. The wrist is snug, finger length is spot on, grippy palm, nice gel padding, absorbent fleece on the back of the thumb, reflective design on the back of the glove, and the thumb tip lets me operate my Garmin. What more do I need? I like the brand so much that I also have their merino helmet liner and neoprene shoe covers and am happy with every purchase.

  11. G. Michaels –

These would be great gloves even when not cycling. I really like how visible these are. They catch pedestrian’s eyes when I cycle by! It is warm but not too warm. They fit well. I am a large with every other glove. It’s a bit tight to put on at first, but loosens up a bit. The wrist part is a bit smaller, but it’s also stable and doesn’t slide.

  12. Addison Moslow –

Fit is snug but not excessively. Cushion on palms is an added bonus. They are warm enough for the rides I have been going on recently, low 40s to low 50s outside. Great for blocking the wind. I don’t know how they will do in colder temps, but I primarily got them for Fall and Spring rides.

  13. r11srider –

The gloves are well constructed and worked well for me at temps down do 48 degrees Fahrenheit. I normally wear a size large but I ordered an XL because of multiple reviews stating the wrist cuffs run on the small side. The XL is good fit. While they are listed as thermal gloves, you should not expect them to be a winter glove replacement. I’m happy with this purchase and recommend them.

  14. Seb –

  15. Kindle Customer –

I bought these for chilly morning bike rides–and this week the weather changed and I needed the full finger insulation. I chose a size a little larger than my usual Giro gloves. They’re definitely a bit bigger in the fingers but the fit is good in the palm which matters.

  16. Evie H –

Comfortable and practical. Have found them very useful. Wrists could do with being slightly more stretchy for wide hands as they are tight to get into. Fingers are too long for average female. Haven’t managed to get the phone to respond to the very small ‘touch’ finger pads so have to remove them for pressing screens. Despite this, they are nice gloves and will get plenty of wear.

  17. DeputyDaves –

I just received my 2nd pair. 1st order was XXL beacuse I use these with Gore liner. I love them so much I bought a one size smaller to wear solo or with a very thin thin liner (practically useless) I want these to wear around 40-50°f so I need a thin liner to absorb the sweat. Plus using a thin liner I can just slip on/off the actual glove very easily. I have found this to be a necessity, that is to be able to take off and put back gloves when ur hands are sweaty. Believe me it works well.
Anyway I’m very pleased with these and I hope they produce bright red gloves with the same quality. I’ll buy 2 or three of those too.

  18. Patti T –

For the price I just wanted something to keep warmer than regular riding gloves. However these gloves are great. Wind proof and very comfortable. Warm but not overly so
We don’t have bitter cold here but these fit the bill for rides on a 45 degree cloudy day. Good padding. I am tall and thin and have big but not huge hands. XL fits perfect

  19. Charles –

Runs small. Not sure it is completely windproof. Best for transition seasons, fall and spring. Not warm enough for winter use. High visibility.

I wear these for cooler-weather riding, roughly 35F – 50F. There’s not a lot of insulation, but they keep the wind off and offer great dexterity especially for flat-bar bike controls. Works well with my phone screen too. I have a pair of biking gloves with more insulation for rides below 35F, but being thicker there’s definitely a degradation in dexterity so it’s great to have gloves like this for the above temp range. They are a bit of a pain to get on/off as the entry/wrist end is tight and not super stretchy.

    Update:
    ======
I got a pair for my wife too and they fit her well, but she says it hurts her thumbs getting them on/off.
The touchscreen-ability seems to be failing. Same phone as last year, but the gloves are really frustrating to use with my phone now. I usually end up taking them off for phone use.

  22. Gerard Niermann –

Gloves fit great. Not too snug or loose and the cuff is just long enough to cover wrist but not interfere with garmin or whoop device. A pretty good value with great comfort and good warmth for the brisk rides

  23. manuelua –

  24. nigel a. –

    Great fit

  25. Bigwalter –

They were way too small for my large hands, but my own fault for not reading the description. very quick delivery

  26. Charles M. Ihler –

I’ve ridden all fall with these and I feel like they’re almost waterproof … they get a little wet but my hands aren’t freezing in 38-40 degree weather but that’s probably the low end of comfort. They work for me and I’m happy with them. They really are great if it’s dry and windy (are same temp..) they probably have some run way on getting cool temps if it’s dry out. They don’t work at all for my Apple Watch display touch screen. I have to take a glove off to use the display.

  27. Stephen Goadhouse –

I have been looking for replacement biking gloves that are comfortable, warm enough and do not hit the crown of my Apple Watch. After a few rides, these seem to fit the bill. I took a very windy ride with these gloves with air temperature between 42F-50F. Before my body was warmed up, my hands were quite cold but after a few miles, the combination of these gloves and my body heat kept my hands warm enough. A windy 42F seems to be the lower limit with these gloves. I would not want to use these on a colder day. I also found that after my ride, the gloves were comfortable enough that I kept wearing them throughout the day. I was able to effectively type on my phone using the thumb touch pads. However, my experience with other gloves with touch pads is that their effectiveness fades quickly with usage. I hope these stay effective longer but time will tell.

These gloves (GripGrab Ride Windproof Spring Fall Gel Padded Bicycle Gloves) have “thermal” and “cold weather” in the description. However, for me, my hands got uncomfortably cold outdoors at 50 degrees F. To be fair, my hands get cold easily, but I thought the gloves would give me better thermal protection.
Others had mentioned the tight wrists, which I agree with. They weren’t a deal breaker, but I couldn’t put them over liners – too tight.
I did like the finger length (a bit of room at tips so they didn’t scrunch my fingers while holding a trekking pole or bike handlebars).
I’ll be returning them, though they may work well for others.

  30. Kim –

Wore these gloves on a ride this morning, 41f and they kept my hands warm. I have small woman’s hands and they fit perfectly. Definitely recommend.

  31. Kelley –

These are good for biking but wear out pretty quickly for other sports like boating and kayaking

  32. Bob Klincke –

Quality is excellent.Following size guidelines Iordered S and found them very tight and hard to put on. Recommend going up a size.

  33. Donna Gschwind –

  34. Amazon Customer –

These gloves really help to reduce the wind-chill on hands riding when it’s cold. It says they are not hard-core winter gloves, they’re not. But, they are excellent for wind-chills on cooler nights after the sun sets. I think they fit great.

  38. Martin –

  40. Daniel –

I ordered a medium that was nice and a touch too big. I gave them to my daughter. I ordered a small that came with a hole and they seem irregular when putting on the fit to one of them is tighter.

  41. LuLuLuuuuuum –

  42. JHM –

    Totally windproof, as advertised.

Not sure how they would do in heavy rain but it drizzled on my ride today and my hands stayed warm and dry.

Only gripe would be that the padding, for me at least, seemed to not be in the right spot. It is too far back towards the wrist while I would prefer it closer to the fingers.

And because they are tight, hence requiring two hands to get on and off, it would be nice if the finger tips were able to operate my iPhone screen, but I knew before I purchased them that they were not designed to do that.

Overall I am happy with these gloves after two rides.

  43. MGreen –

Bought these for an E-Bike ride over the Golden Gate Bridge (on vacation). Definitely needed, especially on bridge. Hands still a little cold, but it’s super windy on the bridge. The gripping on the palm was great. Got small, as recommended. Little tight, but still worked. Good value for the money.

  44. Ramiz –

I like the gloves a lot but I wouldn’t call them windproof. I use the for paragliding and wind definitely gets in and causes heat loss

These gloves really help to reduce the wind-chill on hands riding when it’s cold. It says they are not hard-core winter gloves, they’re not. But, they are excellent for wind-chills on cooler nights after the sun sets. I think they fit great.

The best gloves you need when biking!

I love them – at last down to +5 degrees, below that, they start to be a bit too cold.

I ordered a medium that was nice and a touch too big. I gave them to my daughter. I ordered a small that came with a hole and they seem irregular when putting on the fit to one of them is tighter.

I like the gloves a lot but I wouldn’t call them windproof. I use the for paragliding and wind definitely gets in and causes heat loss
