Just back from a 20-mile bike ride in the cold Pacific Northwest during a Saturday morning rainstorm – hands are wet and cold. The padded gloves look great, I like the gel palms, but I could wring out water from both gloves from the ride – completely saturated and wet! The backside of the gloves maybe waterproof but the palms and thumb areas are completely wet and NOT waterproof. Very disappointed in these gloves.

These do fit tightly so definitely order up a size. Good grip on handlebars and comfortable. Unfortunately, the did not keep my fingers warm below 40 degrees F. Once it dipped into the 30s (the description says down to 23 degrees F), my fingers froze. The search for warm winter gloves continues.
Walter Rabitt –
These were a gift and much appreciated. The fingers are more flexible and fit better than others I examined. Recommend one size ( or more) larger than onewould think..
They should be okay down to 20 degrees.

I used these gloves to keep my hands warm on cold winter rides. They work perfectly as I have been cycling in 25 degree wind chill and hands are warm even after an hour ride.
Alex Cauttero –
I really liked the finger dexterity offered by these gloves but within a few uses I noticed some issues. Foremost is that they didn’t keep my hands warm below ~5-7C. My fingers are usually the first to go, so not much of a surprise there, but it didn’t help in that area. Then I noticed they got dirty and fuzzy very quickly with <10 hours of use. While the fit and grip were pretty good, I was concerned about the durability. I reached out to their support with some photos and they allowed that there was more deterioration than expected and generously comped me for them. That's a great outcome because I felt the price was too high for gloves that didn't seem would last. So I appreciate their gesture but I went to find other options.

I’ve found these gloves to be very warm in winter. I can’t understand the negative comments because I often have to change to a lesser pair after an hour or so cycling because they become too warm. I cycle year round and had them on for a -8°C start recently and they were still very good. I’ve had them on for several wet rides too and haven’t had any sign of them letting water in. The only down side for me is they are no use at all for any sort of touch screen like phone etc. I’d still say 5 star gloves though

I bought these because the Q and A section at the top says that some people could wear these in subzero conditions.
While I knew that was a stretch, I expected a wind-proof pair of explicitly stated “winter cycling gloves” could at least carry me in the 20s.
I was riding three miles in 30 degrees, and my fingers hurt like hell from the cold after about 5 minutes.
Today was 25, and I tried the same ride wearing glove liners underneath. No dice. Fingers were dying.
Do not buy these if you plan to bike below freezing. I wasted my money on a pair of pricey walking-around gloves.

I’ve ridden my bike several times with the gloves in temperatures as low as 26 degrees (F). Today was my first ride in show. The gloves worked well. When I first started out my fingertips were cold but as the ride progressed and my body started to heat up my hands did warm up and stayed warm in the gloves. I bought a size large based on the size chart on Amazon’s website. The size chart is accurate. The circumference of my hand was about 9 inches. However, my fingers are shorter than what the chart showed for the large size. Hence there is excess space in the fingers of the gloves for me. Body parts such as hands can vary from person to person so a size large will fit the average person’s hand. A medium may have fit me but I’m glad I got the large. It is not a showstopper and does not affect the functionality of the gloves. The only thing that I don’t like about the gloves is that it they do not have a touch screen sensitive fingertip. I knew the from the description on Amazon that they did not have these. I opted for these gloves because I thought they would better keep my hands warm and they didn’t disappoint.

I bought these for a recent biking trip to Scotland. They were not even remotely waterproof! The first time I wore them in the rain, they were soaked through in a matter of minutes and were then very difficult to get off or on. They functioned ok for warmth on chilly mornings, as long as there was no rain.

Volle 5 Sterne!

Riding my bike in the winter. Hands were always cold. But not with these. Grip and padding is great.
Steven Hodge –
These are good gloves in most aspects and I recommend them as long as you realize they are not much in the thermal department. It is dubious whether or not there is true fleece (let alone thick enough fleece) inside. You will probably need liners to help keep your hands warm.

I was skeptical. I’ve bought many pairs of gloves on Amazon that wouldn’t keep me warm in July. I used these on my bike commute this morning in the lowest 30s ferenhiet. My hands stayed toasty and I was able to use my friction shifters without any issue. These are well worth the money. I have yet to use them in the rain or snow, but I think they’ll perform well. Super soft and comfortable as well.

Caldi, fatti bene e confortevoli.

Super warm-good tactile feel and grip on the hoods, drops and controls makes shifting and braking a breeze. Easy to use iPhone without taking gloves off is a big bonus.

Awesome gloves. Keeps my hands warm in temperatures in the 30s and in the rain. My only wish was that I can operate my phone better, but given it’s a cold weather glove, that’s probably asking for too much.

Keeps my hands warm and dry. Very comfortable and easily seen at night. Love them!.
Christopher R. –
These are solid winter gloves. Hands still get a little chilly at times when temps get below 30. I expect that with these gloves though as I need to keep some dexterity vs going with bulkier gloves for more warmth. Wouldn’t recommend these.
R. K. Gebhardt –
Promising gloves, but only the thumb has a touch screen patch on it.
The touch screen patch on the thumb doesn’t work for me because my thumb is too short to fill out the glove. So, I can’t use the patch! There needs to be a patch on the index finger!
Z –
The grip these offer are bar-none. I could get out and open a dog waste baggy with these, that I have issues doing with bare fingers. Color me impressed. Fit was good for me – I have thicker hands and smaller fingers and usually wear an XS. There was a little bit of room at the finger tips, but not so much it impaired dexterity like I’m used to, and well, they fit like a glove lol. They’re slightly thicker than average, but not bulky at all. I was outside for about 30 minutes in them, in very light rain. Never detected any moisture, nor did they seem to need to be dried when I got home. They’d be perfect for outdoor activities in the cold that require dexterity. — So long as there’s not speed of movement involved.
That’s where these failed utterly. As soon as I broke 5mph in 38ºF weather, my fingers got cold. As I got up to 10 mph, pain started setting in. Now, I have Reynaud’s, so I have different standards of need than the average person in winter gloves. My fingers won’t produce their own warmth, so I need gloves that actually insulate what I have at the start and stave off the cold. If the gloves are lazy and rely on my own body heat to work, then I’m SoL and in pain territory, up to and including danger territory depending on how long I have to go. These gloves rely on your body heat, which is why they are fine for walking around, because there’s no force removing your body heat from your hands actively as happens when you’re moving quickly.
If I needed a pair of walking gloves for $50, I’d certainly keep them. And for a lot of people, I’m sure these are great. If you have similar issues to me, sadly, you should keep looking. I’m going to try lobster gloves after this. I don’t particularly like the design, but if it’s what it takes to keep my fingers functional while riding in the winter, so be it.

These gloves worked for me. My goal was to be able to ride in 30-32 degree (F) weather. Test ride today for 1 1/2 hours of windy cold 32 degree (F) weather. My old gloves (non-insulated) could not have handled this ride, my fingers would have been numb. Today my fingers were just a little cool towards the end of the ride but still comfortable. I also sized up from my Medium summer gloves to a Large. I think this was a good thing to do. Palms fit good but fingers were a tiny smidge long. Not an issue that concerned me. I had tight gloves in the past and I prefer the upsized gloves. I didn’t realize how good these gloves were working until I took them off to put my bike in the shed. In that short period of time from the side of my house to the shed in the back, my fingers were super cold. That’s when I knew how well these gloves worked. Plus I also like that I could get then in Hi-Vis yellow. I like to be seen from the international space station when biking so I ride in Hi-Vis black/yellow jacket and Hi-Vis black/yellow gloves.

IBuyALot OnAmazon –
The finger holes are way too narrow. I ordered a size up to large because the listing said the gloves are snug. Yet, even the size up was painful to wear. My fingers are thin. My hands are small. I do not recommend these gloves.

Volle 5 Sterne!

Riding my bike in the winter. Hands were always cold. But not with these. Grip and padding is great.

These are good gloves in most aspects and I recommend them as long as you realize they are not much in the thermal department. It is dubious whether or not there is true fleece (let alone thick enough fleece) inside. You will probably need liners to help keep your hands warm.

Nice fit, good protection and easy to get on and off. They are a thicker glove that is durable but your hands dont sweat in them. Definitely recommend.

Have kept my hands dry in the wet. Super plush on the inside.
One of the best purchases I made this winter.

Awesome gloves. Keeps my hands warm in temperatures in the 30s and in the rain. My only wish was that I can operate my phone better, but given it’s a cold weather glove, that’s probably asking for too much.

Excellent coverage for riding in damp, cool weather.

Keeps my hands warm and dry. Very comfortable and easily seen at night. Love them!.

These are solid winter gloves. Hands still get a little chilly at times when temps get below 30. I expect that with these gloves though as I need to keep some dexterity vs going with bulkier gloves for more warmth. Wouldn’t recommend these.

Promising gloves, but only the thumb has a touch screen patch on it.
The touch screen patch on the thumb doesn’t work for me because my thumb is too short to fill out the glove. So, I can’t use the patch! There needs to be a patch on the index finger!

Ottimi, super caldi in bici d’inverno.

grib grab is a great company. nice quality items. these definitely run very very small. other than that very nice purchase. had to send then first ones back. easy exchange with amazon. fingers do get a little cold in sub 30s weather

They fit people with very slender hands. They’re not too expensive, but the fit is horrible. They’re waterproof so they stay warm. They’re flexible if you can get your hand into them.

The finger holes are way too narrow. I ordered a size up to large because the listing said the gloves are snug. Yet, even the size up was painful to wear. My fingers are thin. My hands are small. I do not recommend these gloves.

Danke
