Absolutely loved the watch! Fitbit pay works perfectly for public transportation and most merchant stores. Tracks sleep and steps well too so far. No offline music support was not an issue for me as I don’t listen to music usually. Have not tried answering phone calls. Also realised no notifications on my watch for messages but will try to set it again. Overall, very worth it as I got Versa 4 at same price as Versa 3.

I am surprised that within a year the watch stopped recharging. Where to take it in UAE to get it repaired. No idea ??? what is the alternative???

My orginal review was correct but after getting things set up the way that I want, it is a great actvity tracker.
1. Battery Life is amazing! If you are like me you hate when you are working out and the watch dies not recoding the steps or activities. This watch will last for 7 days
2. The app is easy to use- If you are serious about measuring your activity great way to see how you are doing for the last several days, weeks, months…
3. It measures what I care about steps and activity
The watch is not for you if you want-
1. seeing emails and texts (not a strong feature)
2. Trying to use it to answer calls
I change my three stars to five stars after using it for awhile. The band and the orginal watch setup was not well designed but you can order a band for $10 and change the watch screen (use google to search how to do it, it is not hard but not obvious).
The amazing battery life was what pushed it to 5 stars.
Orginal Review-
I had a Versa 2 and really liked it. I have very basic usages-steps, activity and as a watch. It did a wonderful job. It died and so I bought the Versa 4. 1. the watch ban is cheap!! the versa 2 was nothing great but this one is awful. (so i will have to buy another one to replace the one that comes with it). 2. the new watch face trys to do too much. KISS should have been there moto Keep it simple stupid. 3 the sync with the app seems to be off. I just got it so it just might take more time to get use to it.
Im sure in the end it will be ok and do it’s job. That is why 3 stars.

This fitbit is great for tracking my steps, sleep, exercise and food intake. I like that it tracks my micronutrients and calorie intake and output. The only two issues are the bands give my arm a rash. I wear it on one wrist during the day and the other at night. Be sure to wipe down after sweating under it to further prevent rash. The second issue is the oxygen saturation sensor is iffy only capturing once in a while. Recommend.

When I first got this, it would not maintain sync. I updated the firmware on the watch, tried doing a factory reset twice, uninstalled/reinstalled the fitbit app twice, ensured that the app wasn’t allowed to go to sleep when in the background… nothing worked. It would work for a few minutes, then when I tried to command Alexa, it would say connection lost. I decided to contact support, and they informed me that my app was outdated. Come to find out, version 4.04 of the bitbit app is too old, and will not work. The latest version, 4.06.7 had not been released for my phone yet, as is typical ridiculous play store behavior. Google… are you listening? When a developer releases an update, you shall IMMEDIATELY make it available to EVERY device! I manually downloaded the apk and installed it, and everything has been working great since. Alexa follows my direct orders immediately, phone calls come through, texts come through, and I can sync with ease.
Overall, I suppose this is an improvement over the Versa 2. Screen is a little bigger, but the notification vibrations don’t seem to be as forceful, even when set to strong.
This uses google wallet instead of google pay as the Versa 2 did, so my AmEx will not work for contactless payment.
Phone call feature is nice, seems to work OK. I can hear them, they can hear me. You can only answer calls, you can’t make them. The $50 brand x watch I ordered to replace this one before I got the sync figured out was able to do that. It could also control my camera and music player, neither of which is possible on the Versa 4.
Google maps is nice if you walk in unfamiliar areas. I’ll probably never need it, but it’s nice.
Battery life seems to be improved over the Versa 2, but mine was 2 years old so I’m sure the battery had gradually decreased it’s charge capacity. I used it for several days, and he battery was still at 55%.
Skin temperature sensor will one day be nice when it can sync with a smart thermostat and automatically adjust the temperature as needed. But for now, it’s just a novelty and has no purpose. Yes, I know my skin is hot. I woke up in a puddle of sweat. Yup, I’m freezing, so my skin is cold.
o2 saturation is nice if you have any relevant health problems.
If you want to take full advantage of the watch, get the free “Overview” clock face by Chris Blyth. It gives you current and average heart rate, battery percentage, fully customizable date format, allows for a larger clock that shows seconds, and you can have weather, and 6 other health stats displayed on the main screen, all at once. I have steps, distance, calories burned, active zone minutes, floors, and BMI/BMR. It all fits, and is easy to read. Vast improvement over the default face, which shows no useful information. I had th is face on my versa 2, and loved it. So glad it’s available for the 4.
Bottom line, it’s a good watch. There are cheaper brand x ones out there, but none of them have NFC payment, and not all of them have Alexa. And, you get what you pay for. fit & finish feels cheap, the screens get washed out in the sun, finicky alexa integration and so on. Best to pony up and get a refined product. Be sure to update your fitbit app. Their customer support said the latest version should be released within a week, but I circumvented the beurocracy and downloaded it manually. Why wait?

After 2.5 years my Fitbit Versa 2 stopped working: the side button would not respond and the touch screen would not respond. I purchased a Fitbit Versa 4 because the device worked well until problems started a week before it didn’t work at all. With that background info, I have used my Versa 4 less than 24 hours. So far the watch is OK, not great. My Versa 2 is the first type of this device technology so I only have this comparison to go by. There seems to be no flexibility with the apps that are pre-installed. There are no apps to add a very limited selection for a clock face. I haven’t encountered anything that “wows” me. I’ll update my review if things change. Typically things change for the better but not to this device! So sad.

I am not the kind of person that wanted a wristwatch, let alone a smart watch. I don’t need that level of connectivity, and I have the unfortunate tendency to destroy nicer watches because of clumsiness and absent-mindedness. But, I do enjoy working out. I love having data when I want to see it. And, importantly, I work in a profession where I would benefit from having a wrist watch to check the time.
It’s with that mindset that I finally caved and purchased the Fitbit Charge a few years ago. I liked it, but it crashed a bunch of times and eventually refused to reboot. So, I started looking for alternatives. I found the Versa but resisted, as I really don’t want or need most smart watch features.
Then Black Friday sales came along and I took the plunge. I am glad I did.
The watch is durable, easy to use, fits well, and does all of the things I want it to do. I mostly use it to track steps, heartrate, workouts, check the weather, and set timers at work. It does not have a catchy or flashy look, which I am more than fine with. My biggest concerns are whether or not the screen can take a hit (it does) and if I’ll fry the darn thing when I inevitably forget I’m wearing it while showering or swimming (it’s waterproof).
I don’t use a lot of the features on this thing. I tried syncing with my Google Wallet, but I find it way easier to just use my phone or wallet — two things I am very reluctant to travel without. My phone is on silent most days, so I guess it’s nice to get alerts when I’ve missed a call, but I really don’t pay much attention to it. I’ve never bothered with the advanced features for health monitoring, though I guess for a person experiencing health difficulties or someone wildly focused on wellness would find the features useful.
The Fitbit app is a nice bonus, and the premium features include some solid workouts and tools for holding yourself accountable to fitness goals. I’ve dabbled with these when really focused on personal goals, and seen the usual mixed results of someone who will only somewhat commit themselves to diet and workout goals. Still, nice to have.
In a world where most smart watches are double the price for a slew of features I don’t want or need, this is an excellent product.

I’m happy with it. One small thing I noticed is there no function on the watch, that I could find, to see the amount of charge that is left. You have to go to the app.
Edit: I found the battery charge icon. On the clock main screen, you have to swipe down at the icon is in the very bottom.

About 5 days battery life, less if you use it for text, phone calls, alarms, and notifications. I keep time face off. Time on by touch button only. With sleep mode on. I recommend device. It’s reliable and easy to read. Waterproof ( shower only) yet I not tried it in a pool nor river. It not a super fast charger but it lasts a long time with charge. The watch face did get a scratch after a week. I do use it for work and every day use. I take it off only to charge it. The Fitbit app is very nice. I don’t use all the features it has. It comes with a six months premium service. Over all I would recommend the watch.

The versa for quickly became my go-to daily smartwatch the battery life is great I usually get close to a week on a single charge. With light to moderate use which means I don’t have to charge it consistently like I would other smart watches. I like the fitness and health tracking features bill in GPS for runs, 40 plus exercise modes and step tracking, heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking and calorie and activity tracking I’ll work great for my workouts and everyday steps.
I also like being able to see my notifications, calls, and messages on my wrist without pulling out my phone. The design feels sleek and not bulky; great for workouts work days and casual wear.
I’m happy with it and would recommend it to someone who wants good tracking and convenience without constantly recharging or paying too much.

I love Fitbit products!!
I bought the Versa 4 to replace the 2, which I had for many years. The face of the watch is a really nice crisp display and of higher quality than previous versions. The band is a soft touch, attached to the watch was a small band and the packaging also includes a larger band to switch out if needed. Fitbit is a very good brand with durable products. The price can’t be beat !!!!
Comparing the versa 2 to the 4, I feel like the quality is even higher with the 4, and the 2 is still going strong and became a hand me down to family.

My old fitbit battery finally just would not hold a charge so time for new one. First bought the Sense 2. Thought I would like but it didn’t work out of the box. So I had to return & decided to switch to the Versa 4. Right out of box worked & set up easily and linked to my Healthcare. I know new, but love the up to 5 days without charging. Watch tracks everything that I need and display is very easy to set & read. Very Happy I did buy the 3 pack of additional bands just for change, the original is comfortable.

Over the past 3.5 years I owned two Versa 2 watches. The first one died after 1.5 years, the second one, a reconditioned unit, had been ill for some time and its battery life was abysmal. So during a Black Friday sale I decided to upgrade to the Versa 4. Up front let me say I am not a smart watch power user. I do fitness tracking, sleep monitoring … and that’s about it. So my thoughts:
– the battery charger for the Versa 2 is not compatible with the Versa 4. But the one for the Versa 4 is much better.
– the battery life with the Versa 4 is much better than with my old Versa 2 watches when new.
– the overall appearance of the watch looks nicer.
– the watch clasp with the Versa 4 is different from the Versa 2, and not for the better. It is a bit clumsy putting on the watch.
So for my limited uses of a smart watch the Versa 4, when steeply discounted, presents a better value than the Versa 2. It is clearly an upgrade.

This watch was to replace the exact same watch that was destroyed because I was dumb enough to try an expensive cheap brand. This watch had a few glitches and needed to be re booted a few times but works perfectly now. Size is great looks cool. It is waterproof if you put it in swimming mode. It is water resistant otherwise. I do remove it for washing dishes and taking showers as per the instructions

Before I talk about the functional part of this watch, I wanted to mention the silicone band. I previously owned the sense 2 and ended up giving it away because the band caused my skin to peel and blister. My only two conclusions were either, A: I am allergic to this material. Or B: a combination of normal skin moisture and this material caused some kind of issue. The band isnt breathable so this is a possibility, however I am not someone who perspires a lot. After some time I really started to miss that watch, and now that I am mostly healed post partum I would like to get started taking better care of my health to get back into shape to care for my heart which I discovered has issues during my pregnancy. Yay high blood pressure and high cholesterol (not.) anyway, I want to be there for my kids lives, so Im making the step to be better. These smartwatches are a great reminder of get up and move, and more accurately keep track of how often youre doing that. It does a decent job of tracking your sleep, who knew sleep can have such a serious affect on your health and mood?! The whole interface is very streamlined, it is very similar to the sense 2. The app is also easy to use and the whole thing is simple to set up. The touchscreen is responsive and the processing is quick. I have a fairly small wrist so it may look a little bulky on me but I like the screen size. Overall Im really happy with this watch and Im glad I bought one again, this time I just switched out the band. It holds a decent charge. Now the downsides; the audio quality for phone calls is VERY poor. My husband can’t really hear me even if I put the watch right next to my mouth. Its pretty disappointing. So that and the watchband issue knock a star off for me. This watch isnt perfect but it is a really good option.

I have had this watch for ages now and its still going strong. As a diabetic, I wanted a watch that would allow me to see my glucose numbers at a glance rather than looking on my phone. I downloaded an app that works well with the Fitbit for this and it really helps me monitor my numbers. The other options such as exercise, steps, heart rate, etc are all really good to and the watch is customizable for your needs. I can also take and send calls, messages, texts, etc so thats very cool and makes me feel all futuristic. I set up my credit card on it as well so I can just put in my pin and tap my watch when paying for something and most of the time it works (I occasionally find a machine that won’t accept it but its rare)
Its held up well over the past few years with a few minor scratches but it still charges well and stays charged all day long and sometimes severral days at a time. I didn’t like the silicone band that came with it so I purchased several cloth bands and its a pretty standard size so its not hard to find bands that work with it. I think its a great buy for a smartwatch and looks nice too as its not overly large
Mark Hanes –
The Fitbit Versa 4 strikes a really nice balance between fitness tracking and everyday smartwatch features. The watch is lightweight and comfortable enough to wear all day and night, which is important if you’re using the sleep tracking and 24/7 heart rate monitoring. The display is bright and easy to read outdoors, and the touchscreen feels responsive when navigating through workouts, notifications, and health metrics.
One of the most useful features is the Daily Readiness Score, which gives a helpful overview of how recovered your body is before starting a workout. The built-in GPS is also convenient for runs or walks since you don’t need to carry your phone to track distance and pace. With over 40 exercise modes, it’s easy to log different activities, and the automatic activity tracking works well for everyday movement.
Battery life is another strong point. It easily lasts several days on a single charge, which is refreshing compared to many smartwatches that require daily charging. The sleep tracking and health insights in the Fitbit app are also very detailed and easy to understand.
One helpful tip is to wear the watch slightly snug during workouts so the heart rate sensor maintains better contact with the skin. It’s also worth exploring the Fitbit app settings to customize notifications and activity reminders for a better daily experience.
Overall, the Versa 4 is a reliable and comfortable fitness smartwatch that delivers strong health tracking, good battery life, and useful features for both workouts and everyday wear.

Do not buy this watch to track runs.
I’ve had a persistent problem with the Versa 4 where the first mile or so of GPS tracking is wildly inaccurate even on perfectly clear days. It doesn’t always fail, but maybe 50% of the time or more, and appears to be getting worse lately. The two screenshots are of the same loop run. One shows a reasonable track, the other shows the issue I’m having with the watch, where the GPS tracking inaccurate and thus incorrectly reports distance and pace.
I purchased this watch in December 2023 for my son who didn’t use it. I started using it 6 or 7 months later when my Versa 3 died.
I have 30+ years of experience debugging and resolving issues, a master’s degree in computer science and work as a director of engineering. I’ve owned both Garmin and the prior Versa 3 GPS watches.
I contacted fitbit support last November as I was fed up with the poor performance. They were cheery and stated their commitment to resolving the issue.
Support: try loosening the watchband as far as possible.
Me: I don’t like a loose watch while running, but I’ll try it. No luck
Support: keep the watch away from your bones
Me: The watch generally sits by the wrist bone, but since I’ve loosened it up, I’ll try sliding it up my forearm. The problem persists.
Support: Factory reset the watch.
Me: I went through the tedious factory reset process and appeared to have success on the first following run. But the problem reappeared on the next run
Support: Your fitbit app is out of date, it’s 4.34.11 and needs to be 4.35
Me: I’m not having problems with the fitbit application, I’m having problems with the watch. I went to update to 4.35 on my Android phone, but it wasn’t available.
Support: You need to wait for 4.35 to come out in order for us to continue this case.
Me: I waited for 4.35 to come out and resent the screen-shots of my failed runs.
Support: In the fitbit application go to exercises/run and make sure GPS is enabled.
Me: There are no exercise/run settings in the phone app, but there are on the Versa 4 watch. I’ve sent them many screen-shots of the GPS tracked runs using the Versa 4. Sent them a picture of GPS being enabled on the watch.
Support: Make sure the phone app has GPS always privileges and has privileges to run in the background.
Me: What does this have to do with the GPS on my watch? Sent screenshots to show that GPS is always enabled on the phone app and it is permitted to run in the background.
[I’m now waiting for another response, but they continue to throughout seemingly unrelated solutions to the fundamental issue]
Note: I’ve noticed now, with V4.35 of the fitbit application on my phone, that the Versa 4 will immediately report “GPS Connected” when I start a run, even if I’m in the house with both my phone and watch. Neither can access the GPS satellites. I suspect, with this version of the phone app, the watch is using the phone’s location services to indicate GPS connection, even if the phone is using Cell or WiFi to get approximate location. The initial mile or so of my runs remains inaccurate, even though the watch starts off with “GPS connected”.
Fitbit support does not seem to be focused on the source of my issue, the poor performance of the GPS system on this Versa 4 watch. Is my watch faulty, or does the Versa 4 have a weak GPS system in it’s design? I don’t know.
This watch is not useful for tracking runs. I would recommend anyone looking for a run-tracking watch look elsewhere. The Versa 3 took a little time to get initial GPS lock, but then tracked without problems. The Garmins locked quickly and were accurate.

Decent watch with a lot of features but doesn’t work well in the cold weather (below 40) when exercising. It fails to calculate cardio load, fails to recognize exercise asking if you want to “end” activity and also has poor battery life of about 4 days. I still like it once you understand what it can do well and where the deficiencies are.

I got this on a black Friday sale, on a whim. I am pretty picky about jewelry and wearing things on my hands or wrists. The set up was so easy, I have an Google Pixel 9 and it integrated seamlessly with my phone. It is not heavy at all, its really lightweight and it looks so sleek and nice. The fit is a little weird, the face is a bit bulky and I do catch it on my sleeves or shopping bags. Most importantly though, it does accurately measure my heartrate and sleep. It does a great job tracking my workouts and walks. It really does everything I wanted it to do. I also live that I can customize by switching the straps and face protectors.

Its held up well over the past few years with a few minor scratches but it still charges well and stays charged all day long and sometimes several days at a time. I didn’t like the silicone band that came with it so I purchased several cloth bands and its a pretty standard size so its not hard to find bands that work with it. I think its a great buy for a smartwatch and looks nice too as its not overly large

This Fitbit has held up nicely. I have had it for 10 months and it is still working. It needs to be charged more often than when I first purchased it but still does a great job of tracking my calories burned, steps taken and sleep schedule. I have not swam with it on. I’m scared to, waterproof is not really a reliable guarantee

A major upgrade from the Versa 3. This watch has everything. I love how it includes a heart monitor. It also includes Alexa. It’s a great watch, downside the battery only lasts 4 years. I love the Appearance. It includes your steeps. The accuracy seems right on.

This is a warning to anyone who is considering purchasing this Fitbit model now – November 2024. DON’T DO IT! I bought this in April of 2023. When I got it, it seemed to be working fine. However, as the months have gone on – and as Google is slowly eliminating Fitbit altogether – my Versa 4 has started to malfunction more and more. Not only that, but the Fitbit app – for $10 per month – is no longer what it was at one point. Google is slowly taking away features of the app – and the watch itself. This company now, owned by Google, is being eliminated – do not waste your money. Go with an Apple Watch – or better yet, Garmin.
Since my purchase of this watch, I’ve noticed a ton of odd incidents with it. First off, the GPS no longer works – so it doesn’t track mileage, or speed or any of those types of things on runs, walks, hikes, bike rides, none of them. The sleep tracker is awful – and has always been awful. It can’t tell when I’m asleep or awake. The heart rate data is wrong much of the time – showing higher heart rates than reality, especially if it is wet with sweat, pool water or the shower. My heart rate could be 70 – but the Fitbit is showing that it’s 150. That is a daily occurrence. When I measure the “stats” with my Strava app on my iPhone, the Fitbit is always off…..sometimes by large amounts. The app features are slowly being changed and diminished as well – so it’s not as useful as it was at one point in time. And, bugs – I’ve noticed lately that my Fitbit won’t turn on sometimes. It just stops working. The wrist movement to turn the face of the watch on – that broke in the first month. Hasn’t worked since. And as much as I want to like Active Zone Minutes, it’s just not accurate. My heart rate will be 70, but my Fitbit will show 140 in the shower or sitting in the pool……so I’ll get Active Zone Minutes for those “activities”. LOL
And one of the most frustrating parts for me is Google’s elimination of Strava uploads from their Fitbits. When I bought it, Google allowed automatic uploads to Strava to see your rides, runs, walks, hikes, workouts, etc. Within a month after purchase of my Fitbit, Google eliminated that feature – and you can’t even manually upload activities from a file…..it just shows it being empty. Fitbit covered for them by saying something must be wrong – but I found out through Google that they shut that feature down in order to drive Google Pixel sales(which don’t work with iPhones, apparently).
Today, Fitbit is ridiculous. It should be gone heading into 2025…..after Christmas sales. Do yourself a favor – spend the extra money on an Apple Watch or better, a Garmin. Garmin has every feature you could need or want – and then some. Yes, it cost more – but they work too! And Garmin isn’t shutting down – that’s why they’re making the products they do. More accurate, more features, auto uploads to Strava, plus advanced features for fitness and training. All you could want or need. Even an Apple Watch has WAY more features than a Fitbit. Treat yourself right – and get one of those two instead.

Ignore those who say the battery doesn’t last. The issue is built up oil and skin cells in the back that can prevent a good connection. Wipe it with a cloth or I even use an alcohol prep pad to clean the contacts and it will charge just fine. I live the sleep tracking, reminder to move every hour and the free customizable watch faces.

love this watch; expensive for my needs but works. i needed a watch to display blood sugars of my family member. it has no apps, there are no thrills but does notify me of my phones notifications. I had to download the app for my blood sugars so they will display on the watch face. It does track steps and sleep but I don’t wear it to sleep as it is charging. I charge it daily since I need it go show blood sugars.

I absolutely love my Fitbit Versa 4 and would not want to be without it. I have been wearing a Fitbit for at least the last 15 years. I appreciate that it keeps track of my steps and reminds me to walk at least once an hour. However, recently, it might’ve turned into a lifesaver for me. I woke up to an alert, that I was in atrial fibrillation during the night. I would have never known otherwise. Also, my heart was racing for about 3 1/2 days, I knew I had to take it extremely easy until my heart rate comes down.. Google Health urged me to seek medical attention. I immediately went to urgent care and they referred me to see my cardiologist as soon as possible. I did that and they found there is a problem. It is yet to be resolved, but I am on top of things, only because I have a Fitbit. So I recently bought a new one because I do not want to be without and my current one had a little bit of a crack in the case and yet, it was still functioning fine. I wear it to sleep, to swim, and shower. Never had a problem. Battery lasts for about a week. Be aware, never plug it in directly to an outlet, it should charge by attaching it to the USB port on your computer. No complaints.. . I’ve seen others with much more expensive watches, but this does it for me. Oh, I also love the fact that Amazon has so many sellers who have the interchangeable, watch bands, for much less the cost than the original Fitbit band. Back to the Versa 4, I love the large face, my boyfriend’s watch look! Very smart looking.

I absolutely love my Fitbit Versa 4 in Pink Sand/Copper Rose. It’s lightweight, super comfortable, and the color is even prettier in person. The GPS, 24/7 heart rate tracking, and Daily Readiness Score make it perfect for keeping me on track with my fitness goals. I also love how easy it is to read my notifications and track my sleep — the insights are way more detailed than I expected.
The battery life is amazing too. I can go several days without charging, and when I do, it powers up fast. It’s stylish enough to wear every day and functional enough for workouts, walks, and everything in between.
If you’re looking for a smartwatch that’s cute, reliable, and full of helpful features, this one is absolutely worth it. I’m obsessed!

It arrived and would not charge. I tried every USB I could fined and then requested a replacement. This replacement was provided free of charge and very promptly. For this policy I gave it more stars. The new one arrived and also would not charge. After some hours of research the internet told me it appears that modern usb blocks will not charge the device. I dug put a very old one and it charged it perfectly. The device does what it says but I am disappointed that the spo2 is not given in chart form. As a CPAP user this would be very helpful to me. Alas an average daily value doesn’t tell me much.

This is a very good product with a few caveats.
The main reasons I prefer the Fitbit Versa 4 over the Apple iWatch:
#1. It has great battery life. That’s the main reason I choose this over Apple iWatch. The iWatch battery life only lasts a day. I do not want to be charging a “watch” every single day — I’d rather wear an old-timey watch.
#2. I love the fitbit for its statistics and in keeping track of my steps in general. Steps equal exercise and exercise is what I want to maintain. Both of them do it but I prefer Fitbit’s stats-keeping.
#3. There’s just enough good, free display customizations to put it on-par with the iWatch. I like to have a bunch of stats on the display at any given time and there are a few free display customizations that do what I want without the display area feeling “crammed”. I swap between them from time-to-time.
#4. The price on the Fitbit Versa 4 is better than the iWatch.
#5. I haven’t setup an apple device but the Google Fitbit is fairly quick to setup and is fully charged within 2 hours of charging it out of the box.
I don’t use it so much for the messaging aspect in order to keep battery life high, but the messaging is adequate (but not as good as the iWatch if that’s important to you).
There is one issue though that I have with the Google Fitbit Versa 4 that keeps this from a 5 star review. Its battery life is great at first, lasting approximately 6 days. As time passes across 3 years, that battery life span decreases downwards to closer to 3 days. Then after you reach the 3 year mark — coincidentally the maximum “cheap”, non-monthly Amazon guarantee you can buy — the battery collapses and the watch can’t tell how much battery there is until it turns off and you have to charge. At this point, you need to charge about once a day and the battery read out is unusable in its inaccuracy.
My other main disappointment with Google/Fitbit in general is that there don’t seem to be any new models coming. I had to settle for my 2nd Versa 4 in a row.
One final quibble is now that Google has taken over the phone app from Fitbit, exercise that I enter manually into the Google app doesn’t count towards my steps as the Fitbit once did. Sometimes I forget to put on my watch when it’s charging and like to enter those steps in and those steps to actually count towards my daily total. But now that’s not a possibility anymore.

After trying and returning several fitness trackers, I finally chose the Fitbit Versa, and it has exceeded my expectations. It fits comfortably on my small wrist, and the display is clear and easy to read. The health and fitness data are accurate, and it tracks my daily steps better than any other tracker I’ve tried.
I also appreciate how easy it is to use and how well it helps me stay on top of my fitness goals. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend the Fitbit Versa to anyone looking for a reliable fitness tracker. I also suggest purchasing the warranty for added peace of mind, just in case it’s ever needed.

One star deducted because the app does not allow you to use special DNS servers such as Adguard or Quad9 and never tells you that little detail. Apparently the app accesses websites for ads or content that Adguard blocks. Certain app functions often may not work such as installing new watch faces, tiles, etc if you do not use standard DNS servers such as those assigned by your ISP.
A second star deducted because the device was sold with stair tracking included. Google later totally deleted the Fitbit app and replaced it with the Google Health app which does not support stair tracking on Versa 4.
The app syncs with the watch for data, sleep tracking and even the time of day. I returned one watch for a replacement due to sync failures. The replacement Fitbit watch syncs perfectly but the DNS issue remains.
Cons:
Very limited selection of apps and tiles that can be installed on the watch.
Stair tracking feature removed by big brother google.
Requires standard DNS server to add new watch faces Cannot use Quad9, Adguard, etc.
Pros:
Sleep tracking works well and provides useful info on time spent in each sleep stage – deep, light, and REM
5-6 days on a single charge so daily charging is not required
Watch can turn on the display based on a wrist turn without needing a button press
Easy to suppress display coming on while sleeping

Absolutely loved the watch! Fitbit pay works perfectly for public transportation and most merchant stores. Tracks sleep and steps well too so far. No offline music support was not an issue for me as I don’t listen to music usually. Have not tried answering phone calls. Also realised no notifications on my watch for messages but will try to set it again. Overall, very worth it as I got Versa 4 at same price as Versa 3.

Not as happy with the versa 4 as I had the versa 3 prior to the versa 4. The lifetime of the battery sucks, I have had this watch for maybe a month, I have to charge it every 3 days (if I’m lucky), my fitbit 3 charged every 6 to 7 days. The find my phone app had to be downloaded and does not work all the time. I see no benefit of purchasing the fitbit 4 over fitbit 3.

Very comfortable on the wrist. Hardly know it’s there. This is my third Fitbit. I’ve tried other brands but this is by far the easiest to use. Size and shape of watch face is easy to read.

I was nervous to buy the updated version as the reviews dont look great however, the last versa 4 I bought I had for 5 years, I wore it washing dogs a lot and it was water resistant during washing but I think over time the water got through and it recently died. I was so familiar with the device I didnt want to jump into something new so I got another versa 4. So far I enjoy the button on the side instead of the wierd pressure sensors they had before, it functions much better and faster. I think this one is more accurate in steps as the sensitivity seems to be a lot higher. I like that you can see more stats on the watch now than having to open your app all the time. I use this strictly for working out so not having my phone connected for calls and texts isnt a huge deal for me, You should be able to connect them but I dont feel a need to. I like the look of it and appreciate being able to change out bands, although I know those can wear out so Im curious to see how long these last
