I originally purchased this vest in a XXL based on consumer reviews. It was too bulky so it would prob let the heat out. The return process was simple! 1st time I ever had to return anything from Amazon. A return label was provided that I just had to print out on my printer. Packed everything back into the box and dropped it off at the post office. Somehow they knew it was in transit and my return was processed before they actually physically received the return. Very impressed with that.

I then ordered the XL. It said it was going to be delivered a day after I left town for work. I was a little disappointed with that. Luckily to my surprise it arrived 3 days early! Tried it on and it fits perfectly! I charged the battery fully before trying out the heat and wow does it heat up quick and it gets HOT! The heated collar is amazing! I just wish the heated pocket really heated up the whole pocket. It’s not a deal breaker or anything but would def make this vest absolutely perfect. You will have to have your hand pressed up against your body to get some heat on the palms of your hands. Overall I’m truly happy with this purchase. I will update if there are any problems going forward. If you don’t see anything know this vest is the bomb and go get yourself one! You won’t regret it!

For help with sizing I’m 6’4” around 225-230lbs And I got the XL. The pic shows how it fits.

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Game-Changer for Cold Weather!

I was skeptical at first, but this ORORO Heated Vest has completely changed the way I handle cold weather! The lightweight design makes it easy to wear under a jacket or on its own, and the heating elements work fast, providing instant warmth exactly where I need it. The battery lasts for hours, and I love the adjustable heat settings—perfect for everything from chilly mornings to freezing winter nights.

Whether I’m hiking, working outdoors, or just running errands, this vest keeps me comfortable and warm without being bulky. If you’re looking for a high-quality heated vest, this is it! Highly recommend!

  3. Melissa Gruis

I bought two of these for Christmas gifts. Great fit and quality. This puffer was thin making it much more wearable than most. It’s the perfect item if you want to be cozy warm in a stylish and functional vest.

If you are living in a winter climate, this vest makes night time dog walks, shovelling and sitting in cold arenas SO much more comfortable! The warming unit in the neck/collar is KEY!! This makes a world of difference to your overall experience. You don’t realize how much you tighten your shoulders and neck to brace against the cold until they are warm!! If you have a tight neck/shoulders, make sure you get a product that has a warming unit in the collar.
Three heat settings give you some versatility – the high is pretty warm – you won’t want more than that.
The vest was more attractive looking than expected. You can legit wear this around and it looks like a nice vest. The cut is slim. 6ft, 175lbs, slim build male – ordered a men’s medium. FItted – especially through the hips, but this is the fit desired as the intention was to always wear it under another jacket. Would recommend going for a fitted size as you lose some of the benefit of the warmers if you are layering under the vest. But note that it is a very straight fit, so if your hips are wider, it might be tight.
    HIGHLY recommend this product.
Only one complaint – the battery unit that goes in the hip pocket is not small. Given the size of tiny cell phone chargers out there, I was surprised that this power unit had to be this large. – eg., like a wide deck of cards. It also sits right on the curve of your body from side to front – need to wiggle it to lay flat on your front. Does add a little bulk if the next layer you put on top is fitted at all. But you get used to this and work around it – otherwise good value, nice looking and great warmth!
Just to note when you are shopping – other products may appear to be significantly cheaper, but you have to buy the power pack on top of that – so you still end up paying a fair amount – just search for a good quality, all included product from the start.

After reading the reviews – I went with a large size and it was just a little larger than normal. However when wearing a hoodie under the vest – it fits great and you can still feel the warmth of the vest. I almost went with a smaller size to wear it closer to my skin but it doesn’t seem to be required to keep warm. It does take 4 hrs to charge.

I did a bit of research on heated vests and was planning to get the cheaper brands on the $60 to $80 range but the reviews for those were hit and miss. I looked at eWool heated jackets but they start at $500 and are mainly for outdoor use in extreme winter conditions. My wife’s co-worker bought an Ororo heated vest and had mainly positive things to say about it so I figured I would give it a shot since I’m usually cold at work and just cold in general. I have an under-active thyroid and one of the symptoms is cold intolerance.

The heating zones are just right to warm up my core and hands in the pockets and the back zone is big enough to cover most of my back. The collar heater is not as hot as the other parts but is just right given that your neck can be very sensitive. I usually have the heat on the blue setting after the 5 minute warm-up period when you first activate the heat.

The battery is a bit bulky but I don’t really think about it much when I have it zipped up. The trade-off with a lighter battery would be shorter heat time but I think the roughly 8 hours is fine the way it is if I use the heat for most of a workday. I like the fact that it uses the newer USB Type-C connector to charge the battery.

Since I’ve been wearing it at work, people do stare at the power button since it lights up in flashing red when it warms up and in the 3 heat settings of solid red (high heat), white (medium), and blue (low).

When you wash the jacket, just follow the instructions and remove the battery and then put it in a mesh laundry bag and use a gentle/delicates wash cycle in cold water. I let mine dry over a period of 3 days in a very warm closet.

    Update 12-19-2019:
For sizing help, I bought a medium and I’m 5’9″ and 150lbs and it fits almost perfectly. Almost a year later and I’ve been using mine a lot now that it’s fall/winter. I also use it at the rink while watching my kid skate for an hour at each practice session (twice per week) and I don’t need to wear my full winter coat. I do wear a hoodie underneath this vest but mainly to cover my arms. Otherwise, the only thing that gets cold are my toes so now I’m looking at heated shoes!

  7. Amazon Customer

I am posting the image of the temperature settings. Low is at 100 degrees F – just about at normal body temp. Medium at 113 degrees F – one can barely feel the heat. High is very nice and cozy at 131 degrees F. I wanted to see how long the high setting would last. Admittedly I did not go into the cold to test it but we keep our house at 68 degrees F. A fully charged battery lasted me six hours on high.

The fit was perfect as I have a 36 inch waste and usually wear a large shirt. My chest is 42 inches. It worked better when I took off my sweater that was initially worn underneath the vest then put the vest back on. Then I put a windbreaker on top of the vest to keep from soiling it and to keep the tags from getting caught in something. They warn you to leave the tag on else it would not be accepted should you return it. I especially liked the warmth around my neck but also appreciated the heat on my shoulder blades. The front pockets were not nearly as warm but they were warm. After awhile the heat is retained and I could have cycled down to the medium setting but I wanted to see how long the high setting would last.

It took me less than eight hours to get the full charge indicator lights. I did buy an extra battery to have so when the battery needs recharging (about six hours to recharge) I could then swap out every six hours or so without having to wait in the cold for recharge to complete. The battery did not seem to be too heavy and the weight was not a problem as I didn’t notice any drag or discomfort. Overall it was a very comfortable vest and I look forward to using it in my unheated garage or on walks. No complaints! I hope it lasts as I plan to take good care of it.

Highly recommended heated vest, great fit, and quality

  9. Charlie Bucket

Vest seems well made with even stitching and smooth zippers. Controls are simple. Warms up well and the three heat settings are sufficient. A medium was ordered and fit as expected. Fits loose over shirt/tee shirt and is comfortable with an outer layer over top.

  10. KeyMan

I hesitated to buy this vest at first, even when it was on a lightning deal—but after wearing it through a full Kentucky winter, I’d gladly pay full price without hesitation. It’s become my go-to jacket, and I haven’t touched any of my other coats since.

I wore it for over three hours outdoors taking Santa photos on one of the coldest days of the season, with temperatures well below zero. Even though it’s just a vest, it kept my core perfectly warm the entire time. The heated pockets were a lifesaver during short breaks, and the warmth it provided made the cold much more manageable.

Battery life has been excellent. I’ve used it on long, cold days and have never once had it run out on me. If I had to mention a downside, the neck gets a little too warm for my taste—but wearing a hoodie underneath fixes that easily.

My only real regret is not also buying the heated gloves and socks to go with it. This vest is comfortable, dependable, and absolutely ready for real winter conditions. I love it, and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s on the fence.

Super stylish and lightweight vest! does a great job of warming up in the cold winters. great for skiing and keeping out the chill on the ski lift. easy to recharge with a good battery life. fits true to size. will definitely be getting more for gifts!

Worked great for our trip to Colorado

Perfect to wear under an oversized jacket to keep warm while working or playing outside. Battery life isn’t the greatest but can be upgraded. Best is decent quality and has many pockets with one easily setup for battery storage.

I bought this heated vest from Ororo to cope with the severe Canadian winter. That works just fine but I’m not sure if it’s worth the price because with that you might be able to buy a pretty good winter parka, especially if you do that when it’s on sale.
Before buying it I read all the reviews giving more attention to the ones where people would tell how hard it was to select the vest size. I also checked the size table but those measures seemed pretty different from the standard sizes.
I used to wear L, but after losing a lot of weight in the past 2 years I moved to M. Checking the size table, the one that seemed more suitable for me was the S. I decided to go with the M because I don’t have any S piece of cloth in my wardrobe.
When I tried that on I noticed that it was pretty lose and I barely could feel any heat in my body. The only dimension that was close to be good was the length, which as a bit short, but manageable.
Then, I contacted their support and explained what was happening and that my only concern about switching to the S size was that the length of that size was even shorter than the M.
Support was polite but actually didn’t help me with any new information, so I decided to return the product.
My plan was to buy the S size and see if that goes better, but then I noticed that that specific size is $10 more expensive and it’s not supported by Amazon Prime ($19.99 shipping cost).
    I immediately gave up…

This was a great vest while it lasted. It was reliable and easy to charge. even washable (specific instructions and wash bag)!

Im hoping to contact the company to see about fixing it. The vest won’t turn on anymore, the little box which you charge and put in the vest is working but when we plug it into the vest its not heating up.

I bought this vest for my wife. She is always cold when she goes curling. She absolutely loves it!!! It heats up quickly and provides tons of heat to her back, neck and front pockets. It’s 3 heat setting give lots of options as to the amount of heat you want.
The battery lasts at least 4-5 hours on HIGH. She likes it on high😀. Now her sister has bought one and she loves it too.
I also bought one for hunting season and ice fishing. I run mine on low to medium. High temp is more than I need.
I think it sizes are accurate. I’m 6’ 200 pounds and I bought a XL.
Great for days at the rink to watch your kids play hockey. A great gift for your wife.
I don’t give good reviews easily! I am fussy and expect great performance when buying items. I couldn’t be more pleased.
I highly recommend this vest and company!

I bought this vest on the recommendation of my daughter, who has a medical condition which leaves her perpetually chilled. She mentioned the quality of construction and the way that it regulated the heat as its main virtues. It also happens to be fairly affordable. I bought mine when I learned that I was going to a Chicago Bears game on a day when temperatures were predicted to be 4F and -11F with the wind chill at the start of the tailgate and rising to 11F during the game, where we were going to be seated in shade. Following instructions from an AI assistant, I placed the vest as my 2nd layer, over a thin, high quality wool-blend base layer. Several more layers were added on top of that. I also brought along an insulated, hooded stadium cape, but after weathering the tailgate without it, I left that cape in the truck. During the entire day, the only part of my torso that ever felt even the slightest bit cold was where my lower back hit the cold stadium seat back, and that was when the vest was set to medium, which is where it had been set up until that point. I brought along a heated balaclava, but didn’t use that because it only heats the back of my neck and the Ororo vest already heats that area.

I had borrowed my daughter’s battery pack from her vest since I was going to be outside from about 9am to 4pm. By 1:30, my original battery was down to 25% or less, so I swapped them. The one feature I didn’t particularly like was that the pocket for the battery is difficult to access, especially when layered up. But being inside the vest keeps it warm and preserves the battery capacity. I kind of wish they had a little more space in that pocket or a second pocket on the other side to store a backup battery. Keeping the batteries warm prevents the capacity loss that lithium batteries suffer when cold. I see that with my EV in the winter when its summertime range of 250 miles drops to 150 miles when the weather is this cold.

One small criticism is the slow charging for the included battery pack. While you can plug it into a wide range of chargers, the charging is limited to low amperage, so figure on 4 hours to charge. On the upside, there doesn’t seem to be a danger of damaging the battery by plugging it into a higher amperage charger, which isn’t always the case.

Just got it today. Easy instructions. Seems to work good. Gave 4 stars because I just got it so will see once I wear it more. On button very strategically and conveniently located on upper left side with awesome color code that indicates level of heat (very clever).

It was only a matter of time that a heated vest would be available at a decent price, and here it is! When nothing can keep you warm, this vest will keep you comfortably warm. This vest serves its purpose by keeping the wearer warm. It can fit perfectly under a heavier coat if attending outdoor events, or alone on a chilly day not requiring additional layers. Charge this vest, and you are set for a day of warmth. The higher you turn it on, the shorter the time span, but that makes sense with anything that runs on a charge. This vest is not bulky and comfortable to wear. It has been durable for a couple years and doesn’t show any signs of wear. I highly recommend this vest to anyone looking to keep your core warm.

My husband wanted one of these vests for Xmas because he was jealous of mine. Our son plays hockey and the rinks are so cold that these vests are amazing to keep you warm. My husband’s favorite part is that it has heat in the neck part. I have an older vest and a newer one. My older fleece one does not have heated in the neck and is not quite as warm because of it. The only thing he doesnt like is that the battery takes a very long time to charge. Many hours. Probably 4-5 if I had to guess. Its best to develop a routine that when you get home that you immediately plug it in so you don’t forget. It’s the worst when you remember an hour or two before leaving the house and your battery isnt charged! And having a 2nd battery is good too. I have 2 vests and I will bring the extra battery in my purse in case the first battery dies. How long battery lasts depends on which swtting you use it on. I can usually get around 3 hours on high. It will last longer on low and medium. Ororo is a very dependable brand from my experience. My favorite purchase on Amazon. These are a must for hockey parents or anyone who has to be out in the cold a lot.

This is lightweight and holds the heat beautifully. I love to be outdoors but get cold and this one makes it a pleasure to be outside.

It’s great under a lighter jacket, but under the winter jacket is unbearably hot and bulky. I let the battery recharge overnight, so I don’t know how quickly to recharges, but it’s great for a daily walk for about a week. Or a cold photography evening/night in winter. Between heated gloves and this, I am really very happy.

While freezing my tuchus off on a freezing windy night in NYC I noticed something glowing on my bros chest. He works outside. Said this vest was awesome.

It is awesome! The neck & upper back zones are really nice on a 9° day. The front zones (pockets) are not nearly as warm but I wear gloves if I’m going out longer than 10 minutes.

Zipper works well. Battery lasts a while. I got the vest with the universal USB-C so I can charge it with my small battery pack if ever necessary.

I am 5′ 8″ & 250 lbs and the 3x is perfect. I can wear regular clothes & layer up with a thick hoodie just fine.

    Money very well spent.

Vest is so well-made, came with its own
Battery-Pak. My husband wore it to our Grandson’s tennis match in the late afternoon it was chilly in February. The vest kept him cozy and warm. He specially liked that it zips right underneath his chin and even more likes the heating element in the neck of the vest. All round good buy and good product. Shipped as promised!

Been thinking about gettting a heated vest. The ororo has been great.

Amazon recommended XL but I downsized to L after receiving it. The XL was ok, but the L fits just right. Not too loose, not too snug.

I’ve had the vest about a week now. Material is sturdy. The vest is well made and doesn’t feel cheap or fragile. Zippers are smooth and the electronics are doing great. I like wearing a hoody under it or a long sleeve tshirt.

The battery pack is easy enough to charge and has so far been lasting a good amount of time. I run the power for a few mins to an hour or so depending where I am and what I’m doing.

The “hot” setting is good to get you warmed up real quick. But it’s a little too hot to just let it run for my taste.

I find the “med” works great when sitting in the car at night with the engine off, waiting for kids activities.

The “low” is great for just taking the chill out while relaxing at home.

I like that the pockets are soft and get warm. My favorite feature is the heated neck.

I wish that the chest or back was heated more actively, but that might be too much and I’d need an “extra low” setting. lol.

One thing I notice is the battery pack is noticeably heavy. In the pocket, it kinda weighs that side of the vest down. I also notice it sitting in the car or in my office chair. It feels a little bulky against the arm/back of the chair. These are by no means deal breakers. And I’ll gladly accept the trade offs as long as the vest keeps heating up and keeping me warm.

I thought it was a little pricey, but the convenience, functionality and benefits are making it a good value.

  47. Omar

I’ve been using this vest for a little while now and overall I think it’s pretty decent, but there are a couple things worth mentioning.

The heating part works well. It warms up fast and you can definitely feel it in the chest and back. It’s not super intense heat, but it’s enough to keep you comfortable in cold weather, especially if you’re outside for a while or just get cold easily.

The material feels nice and it’s lightweight, which I like because it’s easy to move around in and layer. The battery life is okay too, but on the highest setting it drains quicker than I expected.

My biggest issue is the sizing. It actually runs a bit loose, at least for me, so it doesn’t sit as close to the body as I’d want. Since it’s a heated vest, I feel like a closer fit would help trap the warmth better. If you’re between sizes, you might want to size down.

Overall, it does what it’s supposed to do and I’ll keep using it, but just be aware of the fit depending on how you like your clothes to feel.

I recently purchased a heated vest, and I couldn’t be more pleased with its performance! This vest has quickly become my go-to piece of outerwear during the colder months. The heat settings are adjustable, allowing me to find the perfect level of warmth whether I’m out on a brisk walk or spending time outdoors in freezing temperatures.

The vest is lightweight and comfortable, yet it provides an incredible amount of warmth without feeling bulky. I love that it’s also rechargeable and comes with a long-lasting battery, so I don’t have to worry about running out of heat halfway through the day. The materials are high-quality, and it fits really well under a jacket or on its own.

What really impressed me is how evenly the heat is distributed across my back and chest, keeping me cozy in all the right spots. The battery also charges quickly, and I can easily adjust the temperature at the push of a button. Whether for outdoor adventures, commuting, or even lounging at home, this heated vest is a game-changer. Highly recommend it for anyone who wants to stay warm and comfortable this winter!

Only had this for one day, but I am wildly impressed. If things go wrong in the future I’ll update.

Here are a few observations. I’m 5’9″ and 170 pounds. Kind of a slim build. I ordered the large and it fits perfect. I think if you’ve got any type of gut, or big chest you’ll want to go larger. The construction is very well done and has a nice feel. It’s lightweight and fits under my jacket without feeling bulky. Plus, it looks good. You won’t be afraid to wear this in public.

The charging process was sort of confusing to me. Here’s what I discovered. The battery itself has four pinholes on it, which I later discovered are lights that indicate the charge. The instructions are typical overseas weird. When you plug it in, the charger unit itself lights red. Eventually it goes green letting you know its charged. I still had no lights on the battery and was concerned. In order for those lights to light it needs to be disconnected from the charger and SHAKEN (?!). I don’t understand, but thats when the four blue pinholes on the battery activate.

Yesterday was cold, but not crazy Montana cold. But in its first day out it warmed up nicely. Units on the back and chest, and collar. I particularly like the collar to keep my neck warm.

My only very minor complaint is that the insignia on the left breast lights up while in use either red, white or green. I’m sure it will lead to questions about whether I’m from the starship Enterprise. But I can live with the joking, as long as I’m warm.

Vest seems well made with even stitching and smooth zippers. Controls are simple. Warms up well and the three heat settings are sufficient. A medium was ordered and fit as expected. Fits loose over shirt/tee shirt and is comfortable with an outer layer over top.

  27. Anthony Resident Allien

Just got it today. Easy instructions. Seems to work good. Gave 4 stars because I just got it so will see once I wear it more. On button very strategically and conveniently located on upper left side with awesome color code that indicates level of heat (very clever).

  28. ALF

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Game-Changer for Cold Weather!

I was skeptical at first, but this ORORO Heated Vest has completely changed the way I handle cold weather! The lightweight design makes it easy to wear under a jacket or on its own, and the heating elements work fast, providing instant warmth exactly where I need it. The battery lasts for hours, and I love the adjustable heat settings—perfect for everything from chilly mornings to freezing winter nights.
